Fine, Unless You Have A Problem

Fine, unless you have a problem.

I ordered a statue for delivery to someone else as a wedding present. I then received absolutely no communication, not even an order confirmation.

Upon calling to check their customer services were unable to tell me when the item was to be delivered.

When the item was delivered it was damaged. Upon asking for a replacement, this was dealt with quite promptly, but with a comment "please dispose of the damaged statue as you see fit".

So, I have bought a wedding present for someone and now I need to ask them to dispose of the damaged statue. If this will not fit in the bin, they will need to take it to the tip and then pay for a rubble-charge.

I repeatedly emailed and asked them to remove the statue and was ignored. I called and they have offered me a £10 refund as good-will for having to dispose of it. Completely missing the point that it is not me who has the problem, it's the wedding couple.

Waste Of Time

Ordered an item from this useless company. It didn’t arrive, tried several times to get through to them by phone to no avail. Emailed them threatening them with legal action, got a short reply saying they had no record of my order, even by this time they had, had my money for quite a few weeks. Sent them my order number, never had a reply. Contacted my credit card who took up my case, they couldn’t contact them either, so eventually they returned my money.

One day I will take a trip to their shop, if it evens exists, and they will not like me. I believe what I had ordered had been wrongly priced and instead of them honouring my order at the lower price they chose to ignore me.

There incompetence has totally put me off ordering anything expensive on line again.

Do Not Use

They do not tell you that your stuff isn't in stock until well after they have taken your money. Very hard to contact them (they will not answer the phone) to cancel your hugely delayed order that you end up having to buy from somewhere with a decent stock control system.

Avoid This Company

Ordered dining set 14th May paid £998 . Waited for delivery date . 28h May emailed given an apology and said their two man delivery team was stretched . I was offered a free parasol for my trouble and that delivery could be speeded up if I would take delivery straight from warehouse . I emailed back to say that would be acceptable. No reply. I phoned customer services who said “ leave it with me “. No comeback . Phoned again and was told I will look into this and will phone you back tomorrow but it may be late afternoon . No reply. They have had my money for three weeks now . One more chance tomorrow and if I don’t get satisfaction I will be contacting the trading standards office as this company is dreadful 0

Poor Communication. Telephone Not Answered. Email Ignored

I ordered an item, the order was acknowledge and payment taken. After a week I queried delivery and was then told that the item was not available.

I cancelled the order and requested an immediate refund. I have had no reply by email, cannot get through on the phone, and they still have my money.

What A Shambles

WHAT A SHAMBLES

I ordered two garden gates on 6th April 2019, the website offers delivery in 3-5 days – the first date I was offered was more than two weeks later. The gates were delivered and a few days later when preparing them for hanging, we noticed a very large crack which had completely splintered a whole section of the gate; it was not fit for purpose. I contacted Internet Gardener, providing an image of the cracked gate – no response, I contacted them again – no response, I emailed them via their website and received a response, acknowledging that they had received my emails but had been very busy(!!). I received an apology and an offer of a 5% refund because they had taken so long to respond as well as a replacement gate of course! Following that I heard nothing. I sent an email – no response, I sent another email – no response etc.

This is an online company and I had no option but to telephone them – nothing had been done, the gate had not been ordered and the person I had spoken to, the after-sales manager(!) had been off sick! Needless to say, I was less than happy with this service. The young woman I spoke to was very apologetic and tried her best to help, but the matter was made worse by the agreed delivery not being adhered to, a new mobile phone contact number not being used – it just goes on. A very long story short, the replacement gate was delivered on the 15th May when I was not at home to take delivery, but at least it’s now been replaced! Today I received a text from Forest Garden (the company that makes the gates I presume) to say that a delivery would be made on Monday - goodness knows what that will bring but I won't be here to accept delivery!! The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Needless to say, I would never use the services of either Internet Gardener or Forest Garden again

If I Could Give Zero Stars I Would...

Happy to take your money but never recieved products. Nearly £1,000 spent. The “aftersales” was non existent, once he took my money was “too busy” trying to hit targets to actually email or call me after he got my order wrong and made up my delivery.

After weeks of calls and emails I have no products. 3 times I’ve had delivery booked for and taken time off work, 3 times they have cancelled delivery. Have tried to cancel, no reply, they’ll fob you off, make up stories but happy to take my money (which they took over the phone without even processing the order). Customer service and call back/email back was great until money was with them.

Quite frankly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a retailer and genuinely do not buy anything!

This company should be blacklisted.

Unreliable And Not Worth The Hassle

My delivery was cancelled on the day as they had overstocked their lorries and so took mine off and so I wasted a whole day off work to wait in for something that would never arrive. Only a pathetic apology for wasting my time because they can't stock their lorries correctly. No attempt to try and put it right and the manager never phones back.

Should have ordered from a better company and saved myself the hassle. I certainly wouldn't shop here again, the discounts don't make up for the unacceptable delivery experience.

Really Awful In The Age Of Online Shopping

I ordered a cantilever parasol in June. At the time of ordering it was in stock. Received a notification to say it would be delivered in 10-15 working days - was surprised at this lengthy period. Didn’t hear from them again. They didn’t reply to 2 email inquiries. I called a total of 4 times to either request a delivery date and in the end a refund. It was actually like they were doing me a great honour to refund my 360 pounds. Terrible customer service. Don’t use them as they are so far behind the online shopping curve it’s ridiculous!

Nightmare

Ordered some fence panels. Stated delivery date is given 4 to 8 days after order confirmation. 2 weeks went by, no contact from IG. Phoned them up, can’t get through. Kept trying, eventually got through and was told that they’ll chase the suppliers and call back. No call back. After 3 weeks, still no delivery date, so I telephoned them again and cancelled the order. 3 days later, the supplier phoned me to arrange delivery. Explained it was cancelled, but between themselves and IG they convinced me to reorder and gave me a delivery date of the following Friday between 12 and 6pm. On the day of delivery I get a phone call at 12.15 telling me the delivery has been changed to the following week. Order cancelled again.

Avoid this company. They only want your money, and have no interest in customer service.

Has anyone else ordered the Rattan Kingston Corner Dining Set? We ordered it on the 17th April 2014, and have been told 3 times now that the ship is delayed (yet again!) and is only now due to dock on 25 June 2014 (original date given was 30th May 2014).

Thank you for your question.

I would like to personally and professionally apologise for the delays you have experienced. We apologise profusely that you felt you needed to do this based on your experience with ourselves.

As you know through conversations with us we have had severe delays from our manufacturer’s factory, although this is somewhat out of our control we understand it is all part of our service and cannot apologise enough as these have been frustrating for ourselves but more so for yourself as the retail customer. We are taking steps to ensure this does not happen next year as the delays were mainly caused by disruption in production around the Chinese New Year so we are ordering items to come on a slow boat in December to eradicate a number of these long delays.

As a small, family run business we really do pride ourselves on our customer service levels and pro-active approach to any order that is delayed so again I apologise if you feel let down by either of these aspects of our operation and your feedback will be used constructively.
