other reviews aside (all of which explain rubbish customer experience when actually getting round to ordering) the website itself is appalling, basket keeps emptying itself with unexpected page refreshes - searched for and completed a big basket ordder 3 times now and it keeps emptying itself

what a joke - back to screwfix for me

Item delivered was not as ordered. BC 100w inspection lamp ordered, 60w ES delivered ! Their excuse was that the new spec was as their supplier provided ! BC 100w STILL on their website. PVR arranged collection but still no refund after 2 weeks despite chasing. Start your small claims court process when ordering.

So I read the reviews, and decide that they can't be all THAT bad. Surely?

I phone first to check the item I am interested is actually in Stock.

A slightly bothered sales staff informs me that if its listed as 2-5 day delviery on the web site its in stock. No offer to check, she doesn't need to. Its in stock.

So I place the order.

And wait.

And wait. Lots of email adverts fill my inbox from them.

Finally, after a week I call to find out where my item is.

"Sorry. Its out of stock. Nothing we can do about it, our suppliers have only just informed us. To make it up to you we will put it on Next Day delivery when it does come back in stock".

BUYER BEWARE - they seem to be making a habit of this.

Significant delivery charges apply on website even though advertised as free delivery. This is dishonest - avoid unless you are happy to pay unadvertised extra charges.

As a quality auditor I have to assess the customer service of this company as very poor.

They would not respond in the first place, creating a gap of time exceeding statutory 30 days and then they would put the blame on you saying that your time for returning the product was 30 days from the day of purchase.

They WILL charge you, without making you aware first, with handling fees 30%!!! what a scam !!!!

My case has been handled by different person every time I contacted them (where is the logic in servicing one customer by 4 people? )

Well all I can say is that some people are driven by pure stupidity and lack of common sense.

Hope this review expresses my extreme dissatisfaction whilst dealing with this company I will better stop here before I begin to swear on them!

Dear PVR Direct you are just like BT !!!!!! - well I could not resist.

Clicked through Google product search and www.pvrdirect.co.uk had the cheapest price with free delivery. Purchased items £6.49 bargain! BUT when I recieved my confirmation email found out I was charged for delivery £5.95 plus VAT 20% making the total £14.92

What a rip off

Great service, slight problem with delivery but nothing but helpful on the matter (courier error), will be using them again!

Not sure if I can award no stars?

Ordered an item online on 4th May - email received confirming order and delivery time of 2 - 5 business days but I'd not received anything by yesterday so I emailed to cancel the order. The money was taken from my account on the 6th May.

I've sent 4 emails (direct and through their web site) with NO response. Initially I was chasing the order and eventually I requested cancellation of the order - I'm still awaiting for a refund.

In the current market at the very least companies should respond to a clients email - awful service

Please do not buy any items from this site. Their customer service is utterly bad. My order was delivered to another address, it was opened and one of the items was missing. When raised this issue with them, they said they are not responsible for any of these and they have refused to resend my missing item.

Please DO NOT order anything from this site even though they are cheap.

I used the website to place an order, was given an order number but it didn't go through. Was asked to try again which I did several times to no avail. They then took my order over the phone which didn't arrive so I checked only to be told there was no order for me. They offered to reorder but the price had gone up so I declined as they weren't prepared to honour the orginal order. I will be monitoring my bank account for some time to check none of the payments go through.

I didnt want to give any stars but had to and wouldnt recommend them to anyone, it's worth paying a couple of £'s more to get good service elsewhere.
