Very Bad Customer Service By The Owner

Waited 2 weeks for them to deliver concrete posts they can't manage to go to their supplier pick them up and deliver to me. What a shambles this place is. The owner thought it funny I had been waiting this long for them to deliver. The owner is an awfu!, uncompassionate, rude man. Would not recommended. Wished I checked reviews beforehand seems the owner has a bad reputation.

Fantastic Service - Fantastic Price

Having rang Riverside in buying a new Weber Q1000 I had a delightful and very helpful lady help me. Card sale over the phone went smooth and was I promised a Tuesday Delivery which was to plan and My BBQ was delivered on the day.

Don't look too much into bad reviews, You will always get the small few who and never happy with anything including life, So I am really pleased with the service the price and prompt delivery and really pleased with my Weber Q1000 (great for small family's and couples and portable for the beach.) Thank you Riverside.

Not As Expected

Just purchased Weber 330 Genesis BBQ. I paid for the item to be built and it was not complete,the left side table connection was not built, it is awkward to fit especially as I have a bad back and getting down and under and working up the way was uncomfortable. Also when I first cooked and then cleaned the BBQ w of the 5 flavour bars were upside down meaning all the fat and grease were inside them and on the burners as they were not protected.I contacted riverside and asked for new flavour bars, they refused and blamed transport company. I would have preferred to build myself as I have now bought new flavour bars at a cost of £85. would not recommend. Item is very good though.

Worst Customer Experience Ever.

Before I begin i must say i HOPE for customers sakes that this was an anomaly. So I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain from Riverside on the 9th May 2015, after weighing up a few companies with a similar promotion I decided to go with Riverside in good faith I would receive everything and have great customer support if needed. When the smoker arrived i began assembling and noticed the heat shield was missing from the box, so I rang and was speaking to who I believe to be the owner (based on youtube videos) after explaining what was missing I was told that this item did not come with a heat shield, I was staring at the manual with the heat shield clearly shown as a component of the cooker, as time went on the stubborn man on the phone would not accept this, and was VERY irratic on the phone and was not handling the situation well. Anyway, he began to back track saying he thought i meant the outside heat shield (which wasn't even on the manual, so maybe a poor effort at an excuse for saying I was wrong). I expressed my disappointment as I had a family gathering planned on the weekend to use the smoker, this has been cancelled, when explaining this and if there is any way he could resolve the issue without having to wait a week for the missing item to be sent to me I was told that "With my attitude I can send it back and buy it forms somewhere else" THEN THE PHONE HUNG UP. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever encountered, a very rude, arrogant and frantic owner who was more concerned about ordering his staff around while i was on the phone to deal with my station, and ended up taking frustration out on me, the customer. I am an avid barbecuer and spend a great deal of time and money in the hobby, but Riverside have lost a customer for life and a disappointed a passionate customer. I must add I NEVER go out of my way to write reviews on anything good or bad, but this was so horrendously bad that I had to but the time into writing this to hopefully warn other customers and make the owner see reason in how I was treated.

When Is A Price Promise Not A Price Promise?

Apparently when the owner decides so...

I phoned up to utilise this company's price promise - what a disappointment!

I found a better price online and wanted the price match - because both Riverside and Home and Garden Centre had the weber smokey mountain 47cm in stock - but HGC's was considerably cheaper.

I ended up speaking to the owner because I was refused the price match by the first person I spoke to. The owner refused the price promise too - apparently HGC are not a genuine company (although they have a fully functioning website and pictures of the growth and development of their business over the years)and, according to the owner, HGC didn't have the items in stock (although their website stated they did). Funnily enough Riverside stated they had the item in stock and it turns out they didn't - perhaps the owner is judging competitors by his own standards?

I have purchased products from Riverside before - so I think I'm called a 'customer' and a loyal one at that. The owner of riverside seems to think it's ok to hang up the phone on a loyal customer - at least that's what he did to me. How lovely. I'd be asking for the customer care training money back if I were the owner - it's clearly not been very effective.

Appalling service.

Great Service

Our local camping shop wanted £72 for the camping chair we wanted, found Riverside Garden Centre deal @ £99 for two chairs with free delivery and free carry bags, 24 hour delivery, Great products, super service and easy transaction, Highly recommended. Thankyou Riverside Garden Centre

Good And Service From Riverside Garden Centre

I had occasion to change my delivery date, there was not problem with that. Good arrived in the allocated time slot and promised. Very Happy with my new Weber Fireplace, easy to put together and gives out good heat. would recommed the product and the service I got from online sale team, would definately use them again.

There was nothing I didn't like about this buying experience.

A Great Find!

Looked far and wide for a good (in the case of Riverside, excellent) deal and stock of this weber. Riverside had both and having found this garden centre, we will definitely return. There is nothing like a weber and, after a brief and unsatisfactory dalliance with a cheaper alternative, we are delighted to once again own one.
