Appalling Service

Would not recommend the online service, and after the appalling service from the live chat i will not be using the range full stop. I ordered a wardrobe from them. It was damged when i received it. I went on the live chat, for a replacement to be sent out.

I did every thing there asked sent photos and waited 72 hours. After 72 hours had not been updated on the issue. I went back to the live chat. and the customer service from this one was appalling. She said they didnt have the photos. And told me to send them and wait 72 hours. I asked to speak to the manager, and was told the manager was not customer facings. In my opinion live chat is far from customer facing.

I asked for this persons name for further reference. And she shut down the chat. Rude, unhelpful, and appalling service. I refuse to be pushed in circles. I then had to go back on the live chat. And after a while speaking to another one. Got sent an email that the seller was going to send out the replacement parts.

I said that after the service i received it was a refund that i wanted. But i accepted the parts just to be done with this. I am now waiting for them. But the service is ridiculous there is no number to talk to in person. I asked for the head office number that deal with the live chat that i never got. And still not been able to put in a complaint.

End of the day, i brought this item from the range. I should of been refunded from the range. As i brought the damged stoke from them. I will never use the range again.

Damaged Cabinet - Poor Customer Service

I ordered a small filing cabinet last week. It arrived damaged and buckled in a number of places and cannot be assembled as a result.

Also, it did not state on the website that the item was flat packed and requires home assembly.

I have requested a refund. But the reply was frustrating ! Instead, the company want me to repair it myself and accept a 20 percent discount! There is no way I or anyone else could repair that damage to the cabinet!

I don’t want to accept a replacement. The quality of the item is appalling; very flimsy.

They have admitted to not stating assembly requirements in the advert so that was misleading.

Very poor customer service indeed. Trying to fob me off !

I have stated I want a refund only so I’ll see how it goes. I will never ever by anything from The Range again!

The Range - Terrible Customer Service - Avoid

This company's customer service department are an absolute joke! Nearly 5 weeks ago I ordered 2 x Heavy Duty Folding Camping Picnic Plastic Tables at a cost £90 but when they arrived on 20/06/24 the order had been duplicated and 4 tables were delivered and the relevant £180 debited from my card. I contacted the Range customer service immediately and requested if I could return the duplicated items to my local store and was told that because they were supplied by the Range Marketplace the items would need to be collected. Over 5 weeks on and following numerous email requests to them the tables still haven't been collected and i'm still out of pocket for £90. Be advised that when you contact the customer service you get a reply that they will contact you within 4 working days but over the 5 weeks i've been trying to sort this problem out it has taken well over that to get a reply from them & even then they ask the same inane questions and offer no solution. There's no telephone line to speak with them, their online chat doesn't work any more and head office do not pick up any calls (just tried calling head office and after being on hold for over 20 minutes I decided to call it a day).The two individuals that i've received replies from in customer service but neither has managed to arrange collection of the duplicated order during the 5 weeks that this issue has been going on. I would strongly suggest to any potential buyers that if you're just spending £5 or £10 on small items at the Range you'll probably be OK but don't spend anything more than that because their customer service is probably the worst that i've ever come accross, they're no better than a poor quality market stall traders when it comes to after sales service and from such a large company it's beggers belief how poor they are.

Unacceptable Service From The Range Uk

This company deserves to be shut down and investigated by the authorities immediately. It has been over a month since I placed an order with The Range, and they have completely failed to deliver the item. To make matters worse, they are now unable to execute a refund.

This refund should be immediate. The item has never even been dispatched, and I have received no communication from The Range about the status of my order. It is impossible to reach them on the phone - I was forced to wait 3 hours before being cut off with no response. I have tried contacting them several times, but always with the same result.

Their email communication is a complete joke. It takes days to receive a response, and all they provide is empty rhetoric. I want my money back immediately. What The Range is doing is clearly wrong, and I have already sought help from my bank. I will also be reporting this to Trading Standards, as this situation needs to be investigated thoroughly.

I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid making any purchases from The Range UK. They are tricking their customers, and this cannot be allowed to continue.

Waiting For A Refund A Month Later!

I ordered a 15m hose online. It arrived promptly and was packed well. Unfortunately it leaked from the connection to spray attachment. I took it back to the store near us where a very polite man on customer service checked it for us and agreed it was faulty, but was unable to refund due it being an online marketplace order. On 17th May I contacted customer service via email, explaining the problem, that I had had it checked, that I would like a refund. I get a reply four days later, "what's the problem?" I told them the problem , 4 days later, they want proof, so I sent pictures and a video. Four days later, they agreed it was faulty, what would I like them to do? I asked for a refund. Four days later I get another reply saying they are waiting to hear from their supplier. It's now almost a month and still no refund. According to the law it's the retailer who is responsible for a faulty product and the refund not the supplier. I'm absolutely fed up with it, no other company would take so long to give a refund for what is obviously a faulty product!

Awful Company

Awful company buyers beware, ordered items never received, never even dispatched, range doesn't refund they string you along by saying they have contacted supplier but this goes on and on where after being on hold over 3 hours numerous times, 15 emails I had to go threw mastercard to get my refund. They keep your money and goods never sent! I advise anyone reading this to shop anywhere but the range.

Poor Quality Bar Stools

We bought the bar stools and after 2 months one of the stools started to show signs of being very wobbly. After a couple more weeks the welds on the underside of the bottom section broke and came away. We went back to the Range and they wouldn’t refund or replace because the warranty only lasted a couple of months. We complained and they basically told us to go away and we’d need an independent assessor to prove the stool was faulty. They know you won’t bother for a stool only worth £90 so you give up. Shocking customer service with amazingly awful approach to customer service. Most of the products are cheaply made to a budget from China or India and they’re not interested in customer satisfaction clearly from their overall rating of 2 stars. I would have given zero stars if possible. Keep away unless you want Iceland food or something that doesn’t need to last

Creased Velvet Curtains - Customer Service Non Existent

Advised customer service immediately of the issue whereby the curtains were full of creases upon unpacking - I had ironed per instructions, steamed and used crease release all to no avail. They finally responded after two weeks to say they'd contacted their suppliers who advised I do exactly what I had already done!! They have offered absolutely nothing and were completely dismissive - absolutely terrible customer service from such a large company I literally cannot believe it. Now waiting for them to confirm I can return for refund as "not fit for purpose"- wish I'd read all these reviews first!!

Still in shock from the unbelievable "customer service" supposedly from the CEO office!!!!

Item In Wrong Color, And Damaged, Not Refund Money

Ordered a mirror online , order number-W17799227, the order arrived on 09/01/2024 in wrong color, and also damaged , called the range customer service on 10/01/2024 arranged for return collection on 11/01/2024 then will get the refund, the first confirmation email received saying I only going to be refunded for the item and the shipping fee will not , called straight away after have seen this email, been told that I will get full refund. Collection was on 11/01/2024, DHL took the mirror away,after waited for 1 week I check my payment account ,only seen the shipment charge of 9.99 been refunded, so emailed them again, told me the refund of the 69.99 for the mirror has been processed and will hit to my account in 2-3 working days , so I waited for another week, still not been paid back , emailed again been told the same, 2-3 working days.ok I waited again till 29/01/2024(yesterday), so sent another email asking for why, this morning (30/01/2024) received reply telling me I need to return the item first then they will issue the refund, god , I found the the collection email and check the tracking details , the items has already been delivered to their depot on 12/01/2024 which is the second day they DHL has been collected it, so i replied with screenshot of the tracking details(on 9am this morning) until now … no response. I love to shopping in the range store , this is the first time placed order online , never gonna go the range again not even the store.

I went to return a faulty item the staff immediately at returns went on the defensive saying I had tampered with the product, I have been a loyal customer spending thousands in Peterborough range over the years and am treated offensively , never returning one item until now and then they treated me like this for 14.99 , disgusting behaviour by customer services.

Companies of this magnitude immediately start with using the customer for blame before properly taking the time to understand the problem from the outset. What is being said at customer services is company policy and at minimum wage you can't blame the initial staff but its still personally offensive to the poor customer. Shame on you The Range
