£25.70 For Returning Wrong Item Sent.

TAKE A FOOLS ADVICE.

If you have to send an item back to this company, ALWAYS ask for a returns label. Tools4Trade assures you, if you send a copy of the postal receipt, they will reimburse you for this. In my case £25.70.

I needed a soft start Makita 9” angle grinder, so i sent a message to Tools4Trade. They assured me the one on their website advertised, was definitely the one I wanted, so I ordered it.

When the grinder arrived, I proceeded with setting it up. Upon start up, it clearly wasn’t a soft start.

I contacted the company who apologised for giving me the wrong information. They agreed to a full refund upon return.

I asked them for a returns label, of which they explained they don’t sent these out. I was assured that if i sent the item back recorded delivery, with a copy of the postal receipt, they would reimburse me for this.

This cost me £25.70, of which I thought was expensive, but with assurance of a refund, i went ahead with the return. A week later I received a refund for the grinder, not for the postage costs.

I have now given up getting in touch, and trying to get my refund. I’m not a trader, only a retired man, who tries to save money by doing as much as i can.

I have now found a company who are so helpful, and have a lot of knowledge with the tools they sell, they are also a lot cheaper. I saved £43.50. I only wish, i had read the bad reviews on the different sites for Tools4trade. I could of saved all this hassle. NEVER AGAIN.

Avoid - Customer Service Appalling If There Are Issues

Two items purchased. Both faulty inside a month. Had no end of trouble returning them and took forever. Situation made worse by rude man undermining the efforts of his staff to resolve the issues. I've spent hours on the phone and it still isn't resolved.

Also inappropriate comments about us when courier took photo of delivery address.

Aviod Buying From This Shoddy Internet Company!

I would recommend avoiding buying from this company if you are reliant on your tools on a daily basis. You would be better off buying from Screwfix or B&Q if you have a fault they will exchange right away allowing you to continue earning wages!

I bought a top of the range Brushless Dewalt Impact driver because I wanted reliability, after 4 months it became defective and kept stopping, I tried to get it exchanged but Tools4trade refused and offered to have it sent away for repair which will take approx 2 weeks, I have now had to go and buy another impact driver to keep employed whilst this one is being passed from pillar to post to see if it can be repaired!

I spoke to the manager of Tools for trade who really couldn't give a monkeys and said screwfix and B&Q sell cheaper drills??

When I asked who I should write to make a complaint he said " it wil only come to me and I will tell you exactly the same, if you are not happy go to your citizens advice centre? Disgusting attitude.

It's the last time I will deal with this shoddy Internet company and I would advise you to do the same, if you want to keep working buy from a reputable shop who have better and fairer returns policy!

4 months for a quality Dewalt drill to breakdown and the treatment is appalling!

Worst Customer Care, Opposed To Committed Customer Care Logo

Spent nearly £400 on bosch cordless drill, recommended by store staff. Unit been repaired 6 times since new for same fault. Hex bit shoots out whilst being used.

Time and time again same failure. Staff/ managers/owners don't give a monkey for customer service. Not helpful. Unwilling to offer any solutions. Not taking any more scat from them. Started legal process on there ass to get a full refund. They don't understand any other language. Watch this space!

Worst Customer Service Ever!

Worst costumer service I've ever had to deal with! I received a faulty makita drill. Simply sent it back for replacement or to be fixed. Haven't heard back for two weeks. After 10 emails and 10 calls turns up they have managed to loose my drill. Who knows were it is and I was told my drill was not delivered. I provided tracking number and that clearly says someone from tools4trade received and signed for it. Then another 2 weeks later I was told my drill somehow got delivered to their neighbours which most likely is a lie! So after 5 weeks I finally got it back fixed. Time waisted and so much inconvenience! Haven't received not even an apologise email or a word. As i said worst customer service ever would not recommend to anyone using their services no matter how good the deal is. You get what you pay! It just clearly shows how much they care about theirs costumers!

Do Not Use Please Be Warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I placed a order 2 weeks ago never received my order tools4trade took my money and even though it states delivery 1-3 working days I chased them for 2 weeks finally got through to someone and was told I placed the order on a old website and the offer was no longer available. I told them I wanted my money back plus the cost of my phone call to a 0845 number from a mobile for a total of 15 minutes and they refused and unprofessional as they are the person put the phone down on me. I turly think if I did not chase this they would have kept my money.

Could Not Be Better

Absolutely brilliant - After looking on various web sites I ordered a Dewalt drill on Friday from Tools 4 Trade and was informed that item was despatched on Friday, New drill arrived on Tuesday (Monday was a bank holiday). Well packaged - wrapped to prevent courier seeing what was in the parcel. Tracked parcel via FedEx website. Could not have had a more pleasant experience. Will definitely use again.

Very Bad Customer Service

Quick despatch but wrong goods were received. Very rude on the phone and it transpired that my goods had be sent to another customer and mine to them. I was told to send goods back by 2nd class post and when they received my item back from the other customer they would send it on. I asked for the item to be collected, but was told it was too expensive.

A good Company can be judged on it's performance in the way in which it deals with it's errors, this Company is clearly lacking.

Find an alternative supplier!!!

No Goods Received

I never received the goods. Despite promises on the phone, nothing has arrived six months on. They claim they sent and could provide proof, but haven't. Said they'd send again, but didn't. Not worth the risk
