Me Too! Ordered Goods In August, Every Month Was
Me too! Ordered goods in August, every month was promised delivery end of the next month. They took the money as soon as I ordered the goods. Had decided to cancel in January. Guess what - they went bust end of December. This used to be how double glazing companies operated. I have asked bank if they can get my money back but I used a debit card so no guarantee. Have ordered a credit card so I don't get stung again.
Very sorry for your loss to this company. Have been stung aswell for over £700 and looks like I will not get it back. I paid through Paypal with my credit card, so please be careful with your credit card. I thought I was safe as paid through PayPal but this voids the credit cards equal liability so make sure you make any payment to the supplier directly. ( I have yet to review UKBW and it won't be a good one!)

I agree with this we ordered a bathroom at the en of December and was told it would be here by mid january and guess what we are still waiting.

Ordered a quadrant enclosure on 11/11/09. Chased order shortly before Christmas - still had not arrived at warehouse.
Found out they had gone into administration - this is sad, a lot of companies have failed during this recession. Fortunately my debit card company has confirmed that I will receive a full refund. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of bonus the fat bankers get!
I notice some people getting steamed up - why bother when they are guaranteed their money back. I worked for a company that failed in the early 90's recession - its not good - the useless governments and greedy bankers are the real culprits here - not the poor businesses who fail as a result of their ineptitude!
Steamed up? I'm furious AND I can't get my money back. Lucky for the ones who can. If it's right to take people's money and not place the order for the goods and then lie about delivery dates, which is what happened to me, then I must be doing something wrong. I work hard and they have stolen a months wages from me, but quite clearly, there's an easier way to make money looking at the reviews of all these trusting people!! It is so very wrong......
Absolute rubbish. UKBW carried on trading and taking peoples money when they knew they wouldn't be able to provide goods. Just because you can get your money back from another source doesn't make it right. I'm sorry, but in this world I like to deal with honest people and be treated how I would treat others. UKBW should have decided that enough is enough and stopped taking orders under false pretences and lying about deliveries/refunds etc. Shutting down one company and starting another just to let someone else deal with the debt is despicable. It may be good for employees but it does nothing for customer trust.

Order two sets of Bristan taps from this company on 4/12/09 and have not received them. After reading reviews on this site I now know why. Avoid the the new company the same people have set up like the plague.

Every Review I Have Written That Contains Informat
Every review I have written that contains information publicly available has been not posted. Why is it ok for a company to take your money and not give it back but you cannot state who that person is? The sole Director listed at Companies House for UK Bathroom VIllage Ltd is the same person who previously ran UKBW, from the same offices.
I hope the Administrator finds that my shower was not even ordered and that my money was used to keep the company going and that this will result in action against the Director.
According to the documents listed, the new company was created on the 30th November in readiness to take over from UKBW but still with plenty of time to give my money back during November or December.
If anyone would like to see the documents, please post a comment on this review.
Adam Evans of UKBW has just ripped me off for £2600.This criminal needs to be dealt with. I have been to Taunton to see if I could get to speak to him without success and whilst there went in the DHL office next door and they told me that they had to stop dealing with him because he wouldn’t pay his bills. Any info you can give me on this scoundrel will be gratefully accepted.

UKBW.com WENT INTO ADMINISTRATION ON 30 DECEMBER 2009. ALL CUSTOMERS LOST GOODS, PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT AND DEPOSITS.
The losers in this case are the Customers.
The administrators; smith williamson have sold UKBW.com to the UK Bathroom Village for a nominal sum. All the directors of the old company; UKBW.com are directors of the new company: UK Bathroom Village Ltd

Sorry to ready that UKBw.com are in administration - but reading the reviews it looks as if the same person is writing them.
I would like to thank the staff who I thought were professional, and for providing me with a superb bathroom.

I agree with Alex! It's criminal they can do this to people... should be illegal. How dare they take over £800 of my money to try and save the shambolic company! It will not happen and I WILL get every penny back from them even if it means taking them to court!
I can tell you that these reviews are not all written by the same person as the Administrator has informed me that there are a large number of people who have either not received their goods or a refund from UKBW, myself included.
Having paid my £1 to Companies House, UK Bathroom Village Ltd was set up on the 30/11/2009 with a single Director, the same Director of UKBW who put UKBW into administration on the 30/12/2009. UK Bathroom Village is trading from the same Taunton office used by UKBW.
Where is my £535.20?
