A quick check at companies House will show Y Solar is in liquidation. Its recently set up sister company, Y Solar Domestic, run by the same director applied to be struck off the Companies House register but an objection has halted that.

Never Use
My roof leaked after having solar panels fitted by Y-Solar, they did nothing about it, after pestering them for months they agreed that they would pay for the panels to be removed and for the roof to be fixed. I just had to get a roofer to remove and fix as water was pouring into my loft and damaged two bedroom ceilings. Y-solar never paid as their director promised, not that I was surprised.
I never write reviews but I had to on this occasion, my advice is to never use them or their associated companies Y SOLAR DOMESTIC LIMITED and SOLAR4GOOD UK LTD.
If I could have rated less than 1 star I would have.

I've Had To Change My Mind About Y Solar - Now Shocking!
Y Solar installed my solar panels in 2014 and I was delighted with the work and the customer service that I received at the time. I gave the company 5 stars on this site 18 months after the panels were installed.
One of the problems with owning solar panels is that you get inundated with SPAM calls trying to sell you this that and the other. I never fall for them. So, when in October last year I received a call from a director of this company, I was prepared to listen and he persuaded me to pay £400 +VAT to have my micro inverters' software upgraded. He guaranteed that I would benefit financially to the extent of the £400 I paid and guaranteed a refund if I hadn't benefitted from the upgrade in 2 quarters post installation. It all sounded fair. It turned out that there was no benefit at all and so I requested the refund. It had been agreed at the time that the £80 VAT would be lost. However, all I received was no response at first, until I telephoned and then promises that it would be looked at "tomorrow", which never came. I threatened to sue in the small claims court but was still effectively ignored. I then contacted Enphase, the manufacturer of the inverters and they told me that they upgrade the software themselves over the internet and that the upgrades were free. They were "surprised" that Y Solar had charged me and were "not sure what the software upgrade could have been".
The small claims court prefers claimants to attempt at mediation before suing and so I went to the RECC (Renewable Energy Consumer Code), who were brilliant! Although it took them some time to get a response out of Y Solar, they eventually secured agreement from them to give me a full refund of £480.00. Again, Y Solar was very slow in fulfilling this promise but eventually I received the full refund, although they tried to get away with £400 initially.
It is worth noting that this person became a director in 2018, and that is when reviews started to go downhill.
Thank you RECC and whatever you do, avoid Y Solar.
If anyone on here has had a problem with Y Solar, I recommend that they go to RECC to try to get it sorted.
Don't Call You Back, Not Getting Paid What We Shou
Don't call you back, not getting paid what we should have, very helpful before you pay but when they get the money they don't care.
The funny thing is that they call all the time to sell me other products, when I tell the I want to complain they tell me I will call you back, guess what? Still waiting, AVOID this company, I also don't want a Y Secure alarm or door, battery pack, extended warranty, service or mini inverters.
Nothing But Lies
We had Solar Panels installed in February 2016. YSolar made an error and the energy survey was not completed until after installation meaning we received a much lower rate of return. After years of haggling Rahi agreed to pay the difference with a monthly payment of £218.75 for a year. Despite promises of an email confirming this ((which didn't arrive) and agreement it would be paid every month on the 3rd I have had to chase up to 30 times each month and have received no payment at all for last month or this. I have been fobbed off with empty promises and spoken to as if I'm in the wrong. We are now taking it down the legal route. The company doesn't seem to care, we have paid £13500 for panels that give a very poor return and yet were promised they would pay for themselves. Don't use YSolar. They don't care, don't pay and have no respect for their customers.

i paid for the extended warranty £840, my feed in tariff meter stopped working i rang Y Solar and Rahi company director was full of promises due to the delay in responding, he even offered to give me tickets to a premier league game, still waiting for the meter to be changed a year later and my tickets
This company should be black listed think before you have anything to do with this lot,

Do not take a warranty out
We are waiting for payments dating back to their errors in Feb 2016 when they installed our system before the energy survey was completed, which gave us a much lower return. We have not received our monthly payment for Jan and Feb therefore we are being forced to take them through the small claims court.
Very Bad After Service
Been phoning for over a week now as one of my panels looks like it has moved. I keep being told by the secretary that the boss will be in later and she will get him to call me. So far I have had no joy.

Won't come out to look at the system they installed for me, it is only performing at 46% of what is put on the mcs certificate, I did not know this until my energy provider told me.
They want me to pay them to come out, how can this be? I keep calling and the keep saying I will get someone to call back, they never do.

Why does my T20 switch into flashing evening mode at 11am est in full sunlight? Turning PV off for 2+ hrs, again in full optimum sunlight of my day in my area.

We have a serious problem with Y Solar panels on the roof. It is causing leaks in several places in our loft. We have phoned Y Solar twice and told by receptionist that there was no one to take the call.. Can you please advise us what we can do as it is an emergency, and keep waiting for someone to phone back, when there appears to be nobody around. We await to hear from you with advice as soon as possible.
