Rubbish Aftersales

Bought an Antara from chadderton 27/12/18 within 14 days the electronic handbrake failed it took 3 wks to repair suddenly within 24 hrs as I threatened to reject the car it was fixed, antara went in again on 7/5/19 engine light on after 3 days warranty agreed to repair about £2k worth of issues BUT I had to pay £800 I said no way 2 days later can I pay £450 trade cost I said no I have rejected the car via Barclays partner finance on 10/5/19 2 days later they said we are repairing the car FOC I again said I have rejected the car emails sent to Pentagon and Barclays, today 30/5/19 Pentagon told Barclays I authorized all repairs on 7/5/19 so now my finance company will no longer support my rejection how could I authorise any repairs when I took my car in for a diagnostic check these guys are liers they take your hard earned money then laugh at you, also when I buy a car I have 3 stipulations due to my disabilities automaticgearbox and ease of access or egress and finally room in the boot for my carpet cleaning equipment as I am self employed, I have been questioned by Barclays as they financed the car for personal use only not business use these are supposed to be a reputable dealer more like a dodgy back street Arther Daly DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR NEXT USED CAR I have bought 4 cars from Pentagon Oldham over the last few years NEVER AGAIN

Dealer Principal Must Be In On The Bad Sales Practice

It would appear they use under handed tactics to pull the wool over your eyes. read the email sent to Pentagon Oldham Dealer principal. Did not even send me a reply.

Dear Dealer principal

I thought it would be appropriate to share with you the poor customer services received from your salesman. On Wednesday of this week he quoted my wife a Corsa Energy AC in white, £9,274 on a PCP agreement which is to be an eighteenth birthday gift for our son. Despite 3 telephone calls from my wife, one from myself requesting written specification of the offer he had put forward on each phone call we were informed that he had indeed emailed across the specification. This never arrived despite being given two separate email addresses. On one occasion I even emailed him to enable him to reply to my email in an attempt to receive the requested information. Furthermore, I had made an appointment to travel from Bolton to complete the transaction at between 2 – 3 o’clock. Upon chasing the required specification again this morning prior to our drive over I was informed that the person I dealt with was not working today. I had therefore asked to speak to yourself to outline my concerns without any luck.

I question what underhanded sales tactics are taking place within your dealership, hoping without your knowledge, for the above to happen. Why would I be told that emails had been sent and delivery receipts obtained on two separate email addresses ( the likelihood that this never happened although you could check). Why would he make an appointment knowing he would not be available as well a knowing that I do not have a copy of the quotation. Is this an attempt to confuse a customer whilst they are in the dealership ?

Over the 30 plus years of purchasing high end prestige cars I can honestly say I have never experienced such tactics, especially for a car that can be purchased anywhere. I would appreciate your comments on the above.

Pentagon Oldham (1 Star Is 1 Too Many)

booked car in for service insignia 2014 Sri (paid £309 cash) car has dashcams fitted front and rear car was washed before service then cameras were disabled and somehow as if by magic my rear mats were replaced with pre-facelift model mats ermmm how strange after taking this up with their customer care team I was telephoned by the service manager who stated it is common practise to disable dashcams as prior permission is needed for anti privacy etc etc also he has asked his valeters and technicians and they would have no reason to swap my mats etc etc load of trash also it is also common that they should wash your car BEFORE servicing it yeah right and to think I nearly started my whole service schedule with them.  check all these reviews especially concerning Pentagon Oldham avoid this dealership  trust me it is not the cost of replacing my mats I do that every year anyway it is just the principle that they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and wanted to distance themselves from the truth now because of this I have to assume they never carried out the work to manufacturers standard and will need my oil and filter changed by a proper reputable company because chances are they just reset the oil meter and I have no faith whatsoever in their work the whole experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and would hope people would heed the warning that this dealership is NOT to be trusted (note this review is copied from Trustpilot hopefully I can stop more people from using this dealership by also posting here)

Pentagon Derby - Rude Sale Manager

Ordered a new car over the phone and placed a £100 deposit. The next day they sent a written quote which was brief and with errors on. We received a better deal else where and with the attitude of the salesman we cancelled it by return. They then refused to pay the £100 deposit back saying it was non refundable!

Legally they are completely wrong! and it ended up with me phoning numerous times only to argue with the Sales manager who eventually refunded it!

I wish we had read some other reviews and spoke to a few friends before looking at a car at the Pentagon Derby!

Avoid!

Pentagon Chadderton Oldham.

My daughter bought a 13 Reg Astra from Pentagon Vauxhall Chadderton in February of this year. One afternoon in July she came home from work about 4pm and parked the vehicle at the front of our house. At 6.10 pm our neighbor knocked on the door to tell us that the car had taken itself down the road and had crashed into his car (over two hours after the car had been parked). We thought she had not applied the handbrake properly, but both the neighbor and another witness could see that the handbrake was on and had failed. We notified Vauxhall at Chadderton and they told us to bring the vehicle in for a check. They then advised us the handbrake had failed because the brakes were worn and the pads and discs needed to to be replaced. But there was no indication of this on the vehicle, no grinding noise or any kind of warning light in the vehicle to say they needed to be replaced. They then started to quote prices for the repair, bearing in mind that the front of her car was also damaged and that would need to be sorted. I asked them why after only 5 months and they were supposed to have done one of these advertised pre sale checks on the car, why would the brakes fail. They said because she was travelling to her place of work in Preston from Rochdale 5 days a week, this was the cause. I asked them how we would have known that the handbrake would fail if there was no indication on the vehicle that the brakes were worn. They couldn't

answer that. The service manager was quite rude and told us that this vehicle would fail an MOT in the condition it had been brought into them. I asked him how could they sell a vehicle that was so near to the brakes failing, but he said they was no indication of this on there so called "check". This added insult to injury because when she originally bought the car there was no Service History Book with it, The salesman told her the car had been owned by someone form Oldham Athletic and they had removed the book but he would get it for her and post it out. After three months and no book was insight and we had chased them on numerous occasions, I rang them and placed a formal complaint, because we had no service history for the vehicle. On the day the vehicle went in due to the accident they suddenly produced the Service History book (very convenient) all stamped up! Needless to say we would not let them carry out the repairs as they wanted to charge the earth. We collected the vehicle and my daughter drove down the motorway and rang me to say there was not a loud screeching noise coming from the car and there was also smoke. I rang Pentagon as she had only just collected it and the car was not doing that when we took it in. They told me she should not be driving the vehicle as it was dangerous. I could not believe my ears. I told them they had done something to the vehicle to confirm there case as they had had the wheels off etc.

They weren't interested. They had had there money on the sale of the vehicle, there so called service department had checked the vehicle prior to letting it be sold and that was that!! We had previously, bought 1 car and 3 vans from vauxhall, but I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole now. There customer service is a disgrace. We have had to repair the brakes and handbrake, have the car repaired and sprayed and also my daughter has had the additional premiums on her insurance because of the damage to our neighbor's car. But hey that's not vauxhall's problem.

1 Star Is Too Much

Would avoid Sheffield Parkway Pentagon service. Had many issues with both my car and my wifes. They have been unable to find fault on my car which a local dealership has found the fault and fixed.

My wifes car was purchased from Pentagon brand new and we had a number off issues with the gears. Originally and new clutch and dual mass was fitted and 3 months later the problems occurred again and this was replaced again. A few weeks later we had the same issues returned again. In fact we gave them another 7 attempts to fix this and after having a conversation over their abilities to do the work correctly we was told that if we weren't happy with the work go somewhere else as we can not fix the fault. This car was less then 6 months old with a fault that they could not fix and so a put a rejection case together to get the car exchanged.

We went Perrys of Rotherham and explained the situation to the, who we found most helpful. A number of repairs were undertaken which included 3 new gearboxes, field visits from Vauxhall and a number of breakdowns.

Feeding all this back to Pentagon they would still not accept the car rejection even after Vauxhall had supported this.

Pentagon did not want to deal with the issues and we had a solicitor involved in the case and I appeared in Auto Express which got involved with the case. Eventually Pentagon agreed to swop the car but the sales manager was concerned about how much they would loose, this was not our problem. It had cost use money and inconvenience at a time when we were getting married, having the car towed on 14 occasion. To travel to the airport for our honeymoon we was in a Enterprise Rent a car.

My car was purchased from them too both in space of 6 months so expected to be treated well. Eventually we got the car swopped but cost us a substantial amount of money through no fault of ours but we need a car that worked.

I certainly would not recommend Pentagon Sheffield Park and their service team.

A fault with my Astra DAB add on ended up with them taking it out and giving me my money back as and I quote 'it's easier for you to go somewhere else that knows better what they are doing'

Avoid at all costs although I would say that the original sales guy Wes is a top bloke who tried to do everything within his powers to help in the situation although it was the powers that be above him that did not want to support.

Nobody Is Sorry!!

Nobody calls you back.....no body has the ability to apologise. The service reception is un organised and the man is very very rude!!! And there's no other dealers to take the car to locally in Manchester. We have bought 4 cars in one go and we don't even want them now as the customer service is shocking.

When u pick your new car up there's always a scratch or problem with dash parts being scratched...

Both brand new corsa limited editions 2015 models have clutch problems and the dealer now charges you for a courtesy car!!!! It's not about the customer here....it's about the profits for the service department.

Also the last car went in for a service with the airconditioning working perfectly. While the service took place we was told it needed regasing and new filters.....the car had done 11.000 miles

We had used the aircon that morning worked fine.....after the service it was blowing warm!

They will also try flogging u a engine flush at 6000 miles it's not even needed!

5 Years 0%....your Having A Laugh

Pentagon derby..

Went in for the fantastic sounding 0% for 5 years offer, complete joke!

After sitting down less than 2 minutes the price had already gone up £500 for fees.

Then was told "it's not going to be 0%, these deals are never totally 0%.

In the end with a deposit of £1000 on a £8495 car + random fees added came back at £174 a month over 60 months....£10440 and plus the deposit of £1000 = £11440.

Why offer things that you can't follow up on??

Awful

I been cheated and treated really awful by vauxhall pentagon sheffield.

I ordered a Vauxhall zafira exclusive, upon arrival the salesman stated that we could choose from 3 different number plates and that the Mileage would be two to three miles on clock.

A day later when I asked him about choosing the number plate he said he had already ordered for me which I do not understand why he did this without my permission.

Upon my arrival 23rd July as I looked at the car the salesman stated that the car had 42 miles on the clock, as this was different to what I was previously told this came as quite a shock, therefore I refused to take the car.

Later on that day I received numerous of calls from a gentleman it’s really awful and stressed me, during these phone calls I was shouted at called a liar! And told that the car was going to get smashed and that it would be down to me to pay for damages, he said I coming to park car in your driveway and I see how you stop me? To me this is verbal abuse and threaten.

And I have never been so humiliated by a company like this in my life!

I believed I should have copied of paperwork what I signed contract, I still haven’t had it. Please take my advice don't buy car from them if you do than only have written communication because pentagon is not trustworthy at all!!!!!! Thanks for reading
