Report Them As Much As You Can
Had a good laugh they sent me a customer satisfaction survey.
Long story short, I was tricked like everyone else. I rent cars frequently often and know the drill, so I would think reading the "important information" from the rental voucher provided by Booking is enough, and I don't need to read full T&Cs. Wrong.
I booked the car on Booking and paid with Amex, then brought my license and a "credit card at my name" to the store near (well, not really) Liverpool Airport. As with many other people here, I was told they cannot accept neither my Amex nor my virtual Barclaycard under their T&Cs. They lied that Amex is not a credit card, but a charge card (which is true only for business, but irrelevant in any case). They were nevertheless happy to take my Amex or ApplePay when I switched to another tariff of £250.
The salespeople have all answers prepared for your questions. So it is clearly not a situation of "sorry, there is missing information on the Rental Voucher, let's find a solution". It is a swindle. The booking was also not cancellable, so I was trapped and set to lose money in any case.
If I had a physical Visa or Mastercard on me, nothing would have happened (though judging by other reviews, it seems GreenMotion would have found a way to charge me extra for insurance or damage).
Booking also referred me to full T&Cs, as if it was not them to issue a misleading Rental Voucher in the first place. So no more using Booking as a broker for me either.
The rental price was not so substantially lower for me to suspect an issue from the beginning, but from now on I will be more careful. Never book here and if you have, please, make sure to complain here, on Google and to the aggregator where you booked. Hopefully, this company will not be recommended.

Avoid Like The Plague!!
Avoid this company like the plague!! If you turn up with a debit card instead of a credit card they charge you an extra £190!! They will show you the smallest of small print that states this but beware of companies that resort to this tactic to take money of customers!!
Needless to say we didn't pay this and walked over to the Enterprise car rental and booked a car on the spot for £70 on our debit card.
The Green motion staff were extremely rude as well.

A Great Service
I haven’t had good experiences with car hire companies in the past. I decided to try Green Motion for a change. Well I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, The staff couldn’t do enough for me. They were friendly and polite and offered me an upgrade. I hired the car from 28th July to 26th August and it was great. I will definitely use this company again and i will be recommending themto my family and friends.

First Time With Greenmotion
I don't normally bother with feedback sites but felt compelled to do something this time. Rented a car for a long weekend and was very impressed with the professional, friendly and courteous service we received at Liverpool airport. We were picked up outside the airport and dropped-off at the end. We received a nicer car (BMW M5 Series 1) for a very small upgrade price, which was only a few months old and returned 60mpg! Would I return? Absolutely....and I own and run a motorcycle hire business, so know what I'm talking about (I hope!!).

No Problems At All
I was a little apprehensive with it not being inside the terminal and hadn't read the best reviews. I waited only a few minutes for pickup from the airport. The staff were so friendly and it was a very quick waiting time. I was given a brand new car which was immaculate and had no problems at all. The fuel was low but as it had only just arrived I didn't mind too much.
I had paid a young driver fee but that's to be expected.
Had no problems at all and on return I waited a few minutes for them to check the car over and then they took me back to the airport.
Will definitely use them again. Thanks for a great experience!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Green Motion at Liverpool are a shockingly bad car hire company in my opinion. It took them over 35 minutes for them to come and pick us up at Liverpool Airport. The car was absolutely filthy outside and not much better inside. The company charged me a fee to come to the drop off centre early (7:00AM)the person did not arrive until 7:20 and still charged me a fee. I had to call the company 3 times to try to get them to release the excess hold that they put on my debit card. They blamed the bank and it was not the bank's fault. It was their error. Then to top it all off, they charged me an £84.00 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE for a parking fine that I knew nothing about, thinking that this covered the parking fine which was £60.00 I said nothing and put it down to my own stupidity but no. The fine is still in place and I need to pay that as well which is now £100.00. I found the staff at every turn unhelpful and generally unpleasant to deal with. If you have any sense you will avoid this company. I will never use them again and I will do my best to discourage anyone who may use this company being fooled (as I was) by their seemingly low prices.

I Booked And Paid Atlas Choice For An Economy Size
I booked and paid Atlas choice for an economy sized car from Green Motion at Liverpool airport.
I was collected by a minibus and taken to their office as promised. Only en-route there was I told:-
1 They were in dispute with Atlas choice so I would have to pay a second time for the car I'd hired.
2. They then gave me a mini model, a Citroen C1, not the the economy model I'd paid twice for, they lied repeatedly that the C1 is an economy model equal to a Polo.
3 To add insult to injury, they tried to charge me for the free minibus pick up.
Not recomended at all.

Please Avoid This Company They Might Seem Cheap Not At End
I also hired a car on 7/8/2016 from green motion liverpool when i returned the car i done a check on the car myself no scratches then i was asked to put my luggage into minibus for airport return when i returned to the car there was a mysterious scratch which wasnt there 5 min earlier so they took £388 of my card if that was not bad enough they then said i had to pay £1 for airport carpark. This company is a joke and only out to make as much money from customers they are a complete rip off i would urge everyone who has been ripped off by this company to pursue your case through a small claims court which im in the proccess of doing but to avoid this hassle PLEASE AVOID GREEN MOTION. I have nothing whatsoever to gain from this and hopefully can save further people from becoming victims. Would not give me option to award zero stars.
