They Damaged My Car & Repaired It So Well It Failed Its Mot
My Kia Picanto went in for it's first service from new, we chose this dealership because of a very good experience with the parts department who supplied a spare wheel kit for me.
At the drop off my husband asked them to replace the front tires, they were in a dangerous condition after I'd damaged both of them on the sidewalls (whilst learning to drive).
When he picked the car up he was told "everything is green" (this refers to the inspection checklist with its pretty little dots that indicate the condition of the checked items).
My husband asked how much the tires were..... wait for it..... "what tires sir?". Apparently after an investigation they dismissed the technician who falsified the checks, they then re-inspected the car and said sorry, they pleaded to be given another chance to serve me stating that this was a one off.
Sooooo a year later and the second service, my car had covered less than 3k in the year. The car had been well and truly strafed by the local pigeons and had a fair dosing of bird lime on the bonnet, the link attached is to a video from my dash cam, it's best watched with the sound up as the pressure washing lance makes a lovely metallic sound when it's used as a scraper.
The initial response was that they didn't do it, "no sir, not us, we've checked with the valet team and they have no clue either".
Now to be fair the dealer principle did looked shocked when he saw the video, and maybe even as ashamed as the service manager when they saw the hoover crevice tool writing off the headlight lens, so they didn't hesitate to offer to put the car right.
They had the car for a whole week, a week was set by me so that there would be no time pressure to rush the job or cut corners.
They did a lovely job of painting the grille panel & bonnet and they fitted a new headlight, they returned the car and gifted some flowers and a couple of bottles of wine.
I would have considered the matter closed and let it go.... BUT a year later and being a bit cynical I got the car serviced at Kia Redditch but MOT'd at Halfords..... where it FAILED.... due to a really badly aimed headlight.
So in summary they applied no attention to detail when resolving a truly appalling state of affairs, despite the 'sorry' and the 'we don't do this to people'etc I have to ask;
Am I just amazingly unlucky, after all what are the odds? OR
Do they treat a significant number of customers in the same way? OR
Do they just not like me? (I can't think it's this because I am very respectful and always say please and thank-you, and I always pay my bills on time)
Have a look at the video of the wash and make your own mind up, I won't link to the headlight damage unless someone from Pendragon wants to see it !
Tanks for reading and make your own mind up about trusting Evans Halshaw Stourbridge.

I Was Really Disappointed By The Lack Of Customer
I was really disappointed by the lack of customer services at the Evans Halshaw Stourbridge dealership. The staff were unhelpful and in some cases quite rude. They had no interest in me what so ever and downright lied about things that I had supposedly said.
They forgot to end a call when they left me a voice mail message and I could over hear a conversation between two sales people complaining and swearing about two customers. I was shoked at how they were talking and treating their customers.
I did manage to get my money back but it took a lot of phone calls and complaints.
My advice to anyone is to avoid them at all costs.

Felt Very Mislead
After todays visit we felt very mislead Called via telephone to arrange a test drive of an S-Max, they asked us for a £200 deposit just to hold it and if we didn't want the car then it would be refunded immediately, saw the car and found it had an oil leak, when we asked about the leak we were spoken to as if we were intruding on them, I was then abruptly told that the car had already been prepped, which I found hard to believe as not only was the oil leak covered in new oil but had lots of very old oil, plus the interior was filthy. We actually took the car on a test drive if you can call it that as we couldn't go very far as the fuel left in the tank was enough for 21 miles according to the trip computer. Then came the part where they valued our car, they offered us £5700 and would not budge not even to 6K, so we politely shook hands and turned the "deal" down. We then popped into We Buy Any Car who offered us £6500 and another dealer offered £6600 part ex. The refundable £200? Well we now have to wait for a check! So not immediately refundable as they told us over the phone! My advice is AVOID!!!!!!!!!!
