Waste Of Time And Money
After going on Motorway search engine the best deal for our 2004 Vauxhall Combo Crew van was £590 with WeBuyCarsToday. We registered our van with them last Sunday 22nd October 2017. We received a phone call to say that we had to pay £29.99 for an engineer to come and inspect it on Tuesday. We paid and he spent 45 minutes inspecting the van, idling the engine and driving it around so much that he left the fuel on red.He had traveled an hour an a half to get to us. We thought that they would have used a local inspector. He thought it was a lovely van and was amazed that we had only been offered that amount for it.We have waited to hear from WeBuyCarsToday and heard nothing. After we rang them again today Thursday 26th we were told that it had come under their £450 limit so did not want to buy it. We had had no phone call text or e mail to keep us informed. We have wasted £29 99 and 5 days in which we could have advertised the van ourselves.As motorway had advertise that cars are bought within 24 hours I don't think they should be having WeBuyCarsToday on their site.

DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE
They don't advertise or tell you that they have a floor price of £450 so if their so called independent examiner values at less, you've lost your fee.
If their "guaranteed price " is less than £1000 they should warn you about this before taking the fee.
The will ignore you if you complain. I've got trading standard involved as I wont be ripped off even if it is only £35.99.
Any company who has such an overall low customer satisfaction rating should be ashamed .

Sales team mentioned that they won't charge any thing, no hidden charges etc. However they asked to pay a deposit of £49.99 to secure an appointment, which will be refunded. After inspection the price they offered was reduced by £900. So I decided to sell my car privately, but i was refused the deposit. They never mentioned it was a non refundable deposit. cheaters.

Assessor Rip Off
Discussed the vehicle condition over the phone and stated all of the issues before agreeing the price which reflected the issues raised, staff seem to be very helpful. Advised them that it was my diseased fathers vehicle and my elderly mother would be there so asked for some consideration. Assessor arrived and reduced price further by reiterating what I had already told them and told my mother that the all alumium jaguar was rusting!!!!!!! Take what you want from that, I have.
Avoid. Do Not Use
Quote a good price for your car then charge you £50 for an independent inspector to assess your car. Surprise surprise the buying price is no where near the initial quote following the report from the "independant" inspector. They do not answer the phone or return your call when they say they will. They don't even collect your car that they are supposed to be buying off you. You wait in for them and they don't even have the decency to contact you if they can't make it.
Do not use they don't deserve the business. Avoid.

Nothing Short Of A Sham - Terrible
I had to pay £50 up front for an 'independent survey/inspection'. The value was £4850 subject to certain conditions to be met - mainly "No Major Damage - Wear and Tear suitable for age on car is fine".
Put simply, the inspector made it clear the car was in very good condition for it's age and all other criteria was met.
The day following the inspection, the guy admitted it looked like good condition and simply wear and tear from the photographs but we had now gone into another month (due to the delay of getting their agent out to inspect the car).
The offer was now £3600 - that's £1250 less than the quoted figure even though ALL CRITERIA WAS MET.
I'm £50 out of pocket now and I would never accept such a ludicrous figure for my car.
Terrible service - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Be Very, Very Careful
Alleged bodywork damage appeared on the supposed inspection report when sent through to this company which I was then told would necessitate reducing the previous sale price quoted. When I insisted on seeing a copy of this report (which I had paid for anyway)I was told that particular information about the bodywork may have been passed on verbally. They then immediately used their right to withdraw from their obligation to sell my vehicle.
However, I subsequently sold my car to the main dealer I bought it from when new, with not a mark or dent on the bodywork, at a better price, so they did me a favour, I guess. Still waiting for my money to be returned for the inspection though.

Very efficient service. Very thorough examination of the car. As the car WAS as I'd described it stood up to examination so the price offered was honoured. The funds were in my bank account within 10 minutes which put me in a strong position to buy my next car. Very Happy.

Good Service With Instant Payment
Service was good but the price quoted on the website was not honoured. We were quoted £1315 for a car in good (not excellent) condition. There were a few very minor stone chips and scratches around door handles etc but that's to be expected for a 9 year old car. You gave us £1128, not much more than we could have got trading in. Instant payment without any hitch and delay. Good service overall
The most important was call even before i decide to make a sale with these guys.
