Ask, Victoria

My girlfriend and I wanted to go out for a nice meal to celebrate us moving into our new home, going out to eat is not always easy as she is vegan and not everywhere find it that easy to accommodate us.

After looking on the Ask website we found out that she could eat the pasta used by them as it did not contain any egg. This was a great find as it actually meant that she could order something from the menu without having to ask for any alterations to be made, something that we have never experienced without going to a specialist vegetarian/vegan restaurant.

The food itself was really nice and fresh and the service was bang on. All in all we will defo be going back and I cant recommend this enough, especially if you are vegan :)

After a long days work, I was looking forward to their mushroom and spinach calzone, only to find that they had replaced this with a meat filled calzone. I was utterly disappointed, as this was my favourite choice on the menu. Since then I haven't returned, as I feel that there are not many options of vegetarians. True it could be said that there are a couple of pasta dishes, but I would rather eat something that I could not easily make myself for a fraction of the cost. They have also replaced their fresh lemonade, with one that comes from a can. Food standards are slowly getting worse. I'm sad to say, but I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
