Nice Addition To Plastic Soup

Nice headphones, but I wonder: why do headphone manufacturers nowadays choose their conducting materials so that if your chord is broken near the jack - which always happens with headphones after a while - you can't solder a new one to it because the solder won't stick?

Maybe they think I'll just buy a new one with a smile and make another nice contribution to the plastic SOUP, well F*CK them all!!

I wear these 8 hours a day at work.

They are very comfy and offer me a high sound quality and dont squash my ears or make them feel hot.

They block out a lot of background noise in the studio and offer me a high sound quality.

An excellent set for the price range.

I Own 3 Pairs Of These For My Home Studio. Ive Ow

I own 3 pairs of these for my home studio. Ive owned them for 2 years but have only used them about two dozen times. One of them has completely lost its left channel, one intermittently looses its left channel, and one still works fine. The sound quality matches the price which worked for me because i was only using them for monitoring (not mixdown or mastering). Unfortunately, its too annoying to monitor with only your right ear so 2 of the 3 are useless to me now.

If only one went bad, then i would think i was just unlucky and got a lemon but im running a 66% failure rate on the 3 i own.

These Have To Be One Of The Poorest Set Of Headpho

these have to be one of the poorest set of headphones ive ever had the misfortune of putting on i cannot belive some of the comments giving these cans a good review they have no accurate responce below 500 Hz and almost inaudiable below 100 dont even try listening down around 50Hz the midrange is harsh and cluttered and the tops are tinny at best thank god they made these open to let some the poor sound quality escape listening. USEFUL FOR MONITORING come on guys use your ears and LISTEN there useless for this the best use i can think of is to use the cord to strangle that oasis gitt gallagher dont waste your money theres a reason why they are cheap there a waste of space

They sit comfortable, but after a long while with big ears, they do not. I prefer using headphone through which no one can hear that you listen to music, from the outside. And these are way to loud from the outside. Not my kind of headphones.

I Own The K-66 For About 2 Years Now And I Haven't

I own the K-66 for about 2 years now and I haven't heard any other headphone at this price-range that could actually compete with it, especially revealing details you wouldn't hear on other low budget ones. They don't lack bass at all, they just don't overdo it, like many cheap headphones do. The K-66 provides all frequenzy-ranges in a nice balanced and detailed way as I hadn't expect from it when I purchased it.

I would not recommend the AKG K66 headphones to anyone. They are very large, so look bad, they sound pretty awful, and there are much better options available. I have used them with Aviom personal mixers in a band setting, and found that a similar pair, the Panasonic RP-HT225E-K, had a superior sound (if you want closed backs), and the Grado SR60 were even better for this context (though not suitable for everyone - they are open resonance, so everyone can hear what you're listening to, and they sit on the ear so they allow you to hear sounds around you... but they sound wonderful!).

I Bought The Akg K66 Today, Seemed Better Than Sam

I bought the AKG K66 today, seemed better than same-priced sennheisers, they fit very well on my ears as I don't like cans that push on my ears.

Very good detail, sparkling highs but not harrasing, some flaws in the bass region, but, hey guys, they're the best cans you can have for such a few bucks. If you listen to classical or jazz, or just want something more from your MP3's give them a try.
