Etymotic ER-6i

The Etymotic ER-6i are amazing headphones. The sound quality is excellent: we're talking equivalent to several thousand pounds worth of (full size) hifi here. The bass is light compared to other headphones; but it is at the correct level. If you want more bass, that's fine, but don't blame these headphones. The sound isolation is uncanny; I have been riding my motorbike, and looked to my left and realised a helicopter was taking off 20yards away. And all I could hear was hifi quality music, at the level I set it at when sat in the office. I've been using them for six months without fault. Buy them.

Excellent for use under a motorcycle helmet. Etymotic reduce external noise as well as normal earplugs with the added advantage of providing clear music at a sensible volume level - the same level as normal use when not on the motorbike.

I have had these Etymotic ER-6i headphones for 7 or 8 years (maybe longer) and they are still working well. They are very durable. I have always been able to insert them comfortably, using either the rubbery or foam tips and sound quality is excellent.

My Etymotic 6i`s pushed wax onto my eardrum resulting in a 2 visits to my doctor, applications of peroxide and oil followed by syringing. They may suit some but NOT me. They are quirky, flimsy, fiddly, uncomfortable and above all, produce MEDIOCRE sound quality...A poor product.
