Sennheiser HD 465

I have several Sennheiser headphones for different listening & recording situations as I used to part own a recording studio and now record music in my own home studio. Quite honestly, I can't fault the HD465's when you think about the price point of these headphones. Quite Remarkable.

The Sennheiser HD 465 are a very good set of headphones to wear for hours on end when listening to one's Hi-Fi and a good set of headphones to use when mixing tunes / DJ-ing. Also it feels good if you are listening to one earphone while one is listening with the free-aear to the speakers when one is monitoring while mixing sounds.

I find the singular chord is a damned good idea and it doesn't get in the way, or is less likely to snag on things.

I first began using Sennheiser h/phones back in 1970 when I was resident DJ at a club in London - HD414 Mk2s I think they were. Imagine how pleased I was to find Paul Simon wearing a pair in the studio when he recorded his first solo album! Nearly 40 years on Sennheiser have managed to impress me even more with the 465s than with those 414s. I'm still DJ'ing and still in need of comfortable, efficient, reliable, high quality headphones that can take eveything that is likely to be thrown at them during a gig, all the rough handling by roadies and all the accidental over-driving that enevitably occurs and STILL sound like $5,000 'phones.... I found them with these :-)

I found the Sennheiser HD 465 are the best $60 headphones you will put on your ears. Bass response is excellent. Plug a pair into your iPod at the house and kick back.
