Skullcandy Hesh Headphones Review I Got

Skullcandy Hesh headphones review

I got bought these headphones in September 2009 for my birthday.

Look - the main thing about Skullcandys.

These headphones look amazing, I have the green and black versions. The prints and patterns are great, they look like amazing headphones.

Feel - The headphones are comfortable enough for two to three hours usage, but your ears will start to sweat a bit, and get uncomfortable after about an hour.

The ear cups are nicely cushioned.

Sound blocking - these are quite..... Terrible actually.

I can still hear things at a loud volume through these, and people can hear what I'm listening to, too. These are not much compared to noise cancelling phones.

Sound quality - Good. Very clear, not too much bass, not too much treble, and generally great.

Value - don't waste £40 on these. It's far too much for reasons I'll explain.

Build - terrible. The plastic is really flimsy, the cushiony leather on the ear cups comes off sometimes, and what hapenned to my pair of Hesh.

I dropped them about three feet from the ground onto wood floor, and the adjustable ear part snapped.

Well, my first pair of these snapped at the ear cup, I sent them back And got another pair, only for those to snap too. I have them duct taped up, but they still fall out of place and I have to retape them.

I sent an email to Skullcandy about a week ago and haven't had a response.

The wire and volume control is the best part of the product (haha).

Verdict:

Don't buy them. Don't get suckered in by the look of them.

If you want Skullcandys, get TI or GI, not hesh.

But honestly, I'm an electronic musician and personal DJ, I use headphones a lot. Don't waste £40. Buy yourself some WeSC, Bose, or Sony headphones instead. They're much better, even though noise cancellers may cost more.

Bose will last you forever and have amazing sound and comfort, WeSC are good looking headphones, and also have good sound.

Don't use Skullcandy, I'm never buying another pair of Skullcandy. I'm off to buy some Bose from Apple!

After Spending A Long Time Searching The Net For S

After spending a long time searching the net for some decent headphones, I came accross these in hmv, although abit garish (Black red and zebra print!) I bought them anyway, and I was seriously impressed!

The bass, achieved by the independant driver, along with the tweeter is immense! When these are cranked up the sound completely engulfs you, no distortion, and excellent clarity. Would put them up there with my bose, really an excellent set of headphones.

Asthetically Pleasing And Good Sound Quality. Howe

Asthetically pleasing and good sound quality. However, 2 pairs have fallen apart. The part that connects the headphones to the headstrip has broken on both of them. WOrst part is.... Skullcandy will not honour the warranty!!!!! NOT worth the buy!
