I've Even Considered Using Them For A Party!

Best speaker system i've ever had!

They may seem a bit plastic but the sound quality is amazing, and you

wouldn't expect so much bass from it but believe me you will be suprised.

They are perfect for gaming, watching movies and listening music. I can't think of any disadvantages.

I've had these speakers since december 2003 and they are still working great. I've bought them as cheapest set of 2.1 speakers (around 20') I could find that is not made entirely out of plastic and I didn't aspect them to be this good. They're excellent for gaming and movies, good even for music (if you consider that it's 2.1 system with all its advantages and flaws).

In all this time that I've had them, I've found only two things that are annoying:

1. The position of the volume an bass controls. Front side is much better option and I don't think that it was to difficult to do and it would be marginally more expensive.

2. Stands for the satellites could've been designed a little better because one of them broke when it fell from a coffee table.

Overall this is, in my opinion, the best 2.1 system you can have for under 30'(40$) and better than most systems under 50'(70$).

Excellent Sound Quality For Such A Small Size And

Excellent sound quality for such a small size and the volume is loud loud loud. Some reviewers say they are not pleased with its 'ordinary' look but I think its fine. Only 2 controls one for bass strength and one for volume control, what can be easier than that, there have been some complaints that it is 'hard' to get to the main sub-woofer to control their volumes (no remote control) I say get a life, and anyway if its connected to a computer you can control it (the volume) from there anyway. In my opinion an excellent buy and I have no reason to look elsewhere, I do actually have two systems, both hooked up to my 2 macs, (iMac and eMac. Have recommended to others and they have bought the systems themselves and are completely satisfied).

An Extremely Decent Pair Of Speakers W/ Subwoofer

An extremely decent pair of speakers w/ subwoofer for the price. Highly recommended even with the location of the volume controls.

I Was Totally Surprised By Something I Did Not Exp

I was totally surprised by something I did not expect from the sub of that size - bass is loud and clear, with no buzzing or hum. I Think the Labtec Pulse 475 computer speakers are ideal for a small room. Playing NFS Carbon with these speakers was really enjoyable, as well as listening to heavy metal music. The size of the whole system makes it possible to use it even in the office. Price/quality ratio is very close to 1, but I would not say it is less than 1 though. I think these speakers are a very good choice for small rooms and offices.

The Labtec Pulse 475 Speaker Set Consists Of Two S

The Labtec Pulse 475 speaker set consists of two satellite speakers about 21cm high by 12cm wide. These sit on stands and are thin. Each one is cloth covered and grey/black. The Sub woofer control unit (and amplifier) is a black box about 23cm deep x 18cm tall x 32cm wide with a silver port.

Controls on the ported subwoofer are on/off switch, volume and tone controls. The unit can produce a peak power of 56 watts RMS (i.e. real watts not PMPO)- it is loud. The unit is only mains powered. There is no 'on' light

There is a generous lead length between speakers but I found the computer lead a bit short as I needed to put the bass unit on a shelf above the PC - I used an extension lead. A really good stereo image was found with the speakers place about one metre apart on my desk.

I have used this with a Creative PCi64 sound card and they have performed well with my TV card, Any music sounds great and there is plenty of impressive bass available. I adjusted the mix using the Realtek mixer on my PC and the speakers responded really well at either end of the audio spectrum using the equaliser. I have to back the bass off a bit to get the best 'enjoyable' sound but it is rich and distortion free.

The bass port has no guard and my only worry would be my son who might just pop a lolly or worse into the bass unit port hole. The mains are also in there somewhere so I would advocate placing the bass unit away from children.

I love these speakers with their rich sound and several of my friends have bought these since.
