I Have Been Owning One Of These Scandisk Cuzer Usb

I have been owning one of these Scandisk Cuzer usb drives for about 1 1/2 years now and until now it has been very, very good. I have been gong round recommending it to people, but now, I will find it hard to buy another one again.

Last week I plugged the USB drive into my school computer (Yes, I go to school, and therefore have a lot of very important coursework on there) and did some work on it. Then I went for a 15min break and unplugged it safely.

However, after the 15mins I plugged it back into the same PC, and nothing happens. The USB drive died on me! All the work was gone! Luckily, the technician was able to wiggle it about and copy the stuff onto CD. But I have tried 5 pc's and all the usb ports but no luck.

I Needed A New Usb Memory Stick And Was Unhappy Wi

I needed a new USB memory stick and was unhappy with most previous models I had. Because of their plastic feel and fragile look. Most don't have a lasting quality. However, the Titanium model Cruzer is not ordinary, it's solid, feels good and you just know this piece periphery is not going to break if you sit on it. It's a man's toy. A tool. Like a builder will pose by wearing a tool belt, if you have the titanium model this is a tool, it's hot, it's beautiful. It has both function and aesthetic appeal. I'm in love.

It's odd using the secure password facility when the Cruzer is connected it only looks like there is 6.31 meg on the stick, but when you then log into it the other 4 gig is available. This must be something to do with the encryption software. And of course it's not a full 4 gig, but this is the same with all memory sticks they're always slightly smaller than what it says on the packet.

I like using the password facility on this stick. Basically no one else can hack into it unless they input the correct pass word. And then if someone does try too many times it can wipe all your data off. I'm not entirely sure how this part of the software works, or whether it happens on the third try or if it's up to the user to make the decision. What I do know is it's safe maybe the British government should make this standard then they wouldn't be losing so much data.

There are many reviews about this product available. I use it in an XP running machine and am more than happy with it. It works and it has fast transfer rates. I've heard stories some people are unable to get it to work with their Windows Vista or even of fakes on the market. I got mine from Amazon, no problem as for Windows Vista a friend of mine puts it down to the User's not knowing how to use their own computers.

Overall I'd recommend this to anyone, especially if your a man and you like man's toys. It's rugged, it's real, it's sleek. Definitely a Porsche of the memory stick world.
