Thomson Consumer Electronics

One of the worst service providers I have ever seen in my life. They are not respecting the customer's valuable time. Not answering the mails and calls. If customers have any issues, then where do they go?

The customer care number is just for Shake only. I will never recommend this company to anyone. First learn how to manage all this thing. Selling a product is not the last task, but your task starts from there to provide good service; after that, if any customer finds any issue, you can't.

It does not support YouTube. Every other thing works fine but YouTube.

We bought a 50 inch 3d Smart THOMSON in January 2013 from Auchan, we were going to buy a Samsung but saw the Thomson on offer for only 799e BIG MISTAKE!

The television did not pair with our Sony Bluray player, we dismissed this as we do not watch many films. In January of this year we treated ourselves to a 3d player. The first film we watched played half way then went blank. We contacted Thomson that advised us the TV needed an update. It still had the same problem. We were asked to take the TV back to Auchan. We did and the same happened. Off to Auchan again! Back came the TV, same problem. It would appear that there was a compatability problem with the 3d player (Even though we were told it would work by their sales staff).

Thomson then said they had the problem before. We needed to return the TV via courier to there Paris depot for an updated piece of hardware!

They rang and emailed us on the Tuesday to say the TV was repaired and would be with us by the Thursday latest Friday. Both days came and went, the Saturday as well...After waiting in 3 days it eventually arrived, no apology.

Hooray it worked!

Back to the TV:

Everytime you play a film, the sound is out of sync, you have to adjust the settings every time to sync up.

The wifi dongle is not built in, it attaches behind the TV in a USB, you have to enter your wifi code everytime you use it.....

Unlike all other makes of TV I have seen since, the Thomson does not have a scart socket, you are supplied an adapter, wich is very fiddly.

The picture quality is not the best, Blu rays tend to 'drag' when there is movement on the screen.

The aftersales service is appalling...........

i have thomson galleria tv. i have lost its remote. i need to get a new one. i do not know the remote alloted to this tv. kindly help me out.tv which i have is the following model -

Thomson TV came to India, sold some expensive TV sets, and then they walked out of India. In the pocess, they have left in the lurch many consumers who paid through the nose to own the highly-famed Thomson products. Who will answer to these consumers now? Someone should. Maybe the French President Sarkozy, since Thomson is/was a French company. The question is will the French stand up and be counted? if on the Thomson issue they don't, then the fate of other French companies/products in india may be bleak.

Thomson TV has packed up after 4yrs. They've shutdown TV sales operations in Europe so the extended guarantee appears worthless - great! What a waste of space and money this outfir is. DO NOT BUY a Thomson item - no service back-up at all

Its getting repaired freqently by a tv mechanic, now i want to exchange it for new one of any company, is there any way, please suggest.

Overall view about the product (Not service) is good.
