on arrival noticed waitress on telephone, after waiting other customers

arriving started wandering to be seated so we did as well. we all helped

ourselves to a menu & seated our selves waitress eventually came off phone

completely flustered eventually took drinks order & food order stating a bit of a wait has kitchen preparing buffet no orders to be cooked until buffet finished. I asked how many in front of us? answered 6 kept waiting

50mins (every body getting irriated)noticed food going out to tables ordered after us. Then table complained wrong order was actually our food went to wrong table waitress took it back to kitchen then brought it to us, at that point my husband was about to walk out. gave us our food just needed frys, then proceeded & took next tables food out, making us wait no apologies. chutney forgotten with my meal. had to leave table to find waitress.

no table check could tell from our faces not happy. went to till still didn't ask if satisfied tried to charge for drinks we didn't have. appalling service disaster of a visit will never go to Colchester Branch again and certainly do not recommend.

Not a good night food was overcooked and dry we also waited an age to be served . we wont be going there again.

Sunday Lunch Pork was hard could not cut it seemed as though it had been warmed up in a microwave it was not as advertised we asked for it to be changed and we were brought more of the same definitely not from a recently cooked joint, no one seemed to be bothered. Having been to this restaurant before I could not believe how low the standard has fallen. We will not be returning and the neither will our friends. The service was bad and time from ordering to finishing was over two hours with no apologies

Worst service experienced in a pub on a week night , 4 hours for a 3 course meal , chips cold , no attention from staff , no explanationfor delays ,chips cold , staff more interested in the pub quiz which must generate a 10th of the business of food/drink sales very disappointing would be surprised of anyone has a good experience here.

lovely pub and staff ,the food was great arrived on time , nice presentation and hot,will go again without a doubt

Very disappointed by the new menu. Belly pork unrecognisable as pork and poorly cooked. Fish served on greaseproof paper that disintergrated during the meal. Mushy peas liquid! Have been regular customers over many years but will now think twice before returning. Many favorite items now dropped from menu. Wine best part of a poor experience,

Went to the Swan in Frimley Green for a family 70th birthday celebration - what a mistake! We booked a table for 6 at 7pm. We tried to order the Sunday roast only to be told the turkey was unavailable. We then ordered the beef. After waiting 15 minutes, we were told this was unavailable. We then ordered the Gammon and guess what, that was unavailable also! We ordered drinks and waited 45 minutes before they arrived. The service was dreadful, the staff, particularly the so-called Manager very rude and I would not recommend this place in a million years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didsbury is halfway between friends so we meet there every few months regularly.Today we arrived at 12.00 for lunch.Meal ordered,there was no coffee available to start,waitress must have missed out on customer service training.Ordered 3x fish and chips---came with thick batter,chips cooked twice but cold along with cold mushy peas.Upholstered dining chairs were horribly stained and the toilets appeared clean but had a really terrible offensive smell.Not a lunch experience to be repeated.Jean Clarke

I took a family party to this place over a year ago and my steak and chips came with just 13 small chips.

When I complained to the waitress I was told it was their normal portion, the manageress also said the same thing.

I recently returned to this establishment and ordered the Bass fillet risotto.

The amount of rice risotto I was served would not have filled a soup spoon four times, the fillet was so small I doubt if the fish it came from would have passed the landing size limit for UK caught fish.

I actually eat the entire dish in seven forkfuls.......and I wasn't overloading the fork either!!!

I complained about my meagre portion of risotto to the manageress (the same one I had complained to previously) and was told "we are sent the risotto rice fort his dish in small individual containers and that is what we serve, it's meant to be a small dish and if you had asked for a larger sized dish I would have recommended something else".

I said that was just an excuses for profiteering as the menu does not indicate I was ordering a small dish, I also reminded her of my previous complaint about the 13 chips told her that I thought I was being ripped off!

This place is a total rip off but if you want to pay a high price of a snack then it's the place for you.

I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

Bet food ever even the chef served it very happy
