Great Tandoori Experience.
Maldon Tandoori is the best all round Indian restaurant for all people. it has area's for couples as well as tables for whole family's or party's. The service is fantastic and the food is authentic and delicious. I cant say enough good thing's about this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone. If you cant get in friday's saturday's or Sunday's i've allway's found that the early part of the week has a great atmosphere and the service is more consentrated. I eat there every friday but often go back midweek.

I'm Always Wary Of Indian Restaurants That I Haven
I'm always wary of Indian restaurants that I haven't been to, as I really dislike fresh coriander, which is so often used as garnish for the majority of Indian dishes. I've been to so many places where - even though I've asked for it not to be used - my meal has been ruined. We came across maldon tandoori by chance, and thought the menu looked interesting (we hadn't eaten bangladeshi/indian cuisine before). The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. I explained that I didn't like fresh coriander - though my husband loves it - and asked that my dishes be served without it. Our food was delicious; my chicken was really tender (unlike the chewy chunks that masquerade as chicken in some Indian restaurants) and we had a really unusual beetroot side dish that we loved. The restaurant is quite small and but luxurious, but comfortable and welcoming - everyone around us certainly seemed to be enjoying their food. We have friends who live in maldon who have never been to Maldon tandoori - will certainly tell them to give it a try!

I Love Indian Food, But Having Enjoyed Real Home C
I love Indian food, but having enjoyed real home cooking I'm always sceptical when restaurants claim to be authentic. When my friend Sarah mentioned this restaurant in Maldon I was not all that enthusiastic as she was. Apparently she had read in the Essex Chronicle about the Essex Food and Drink Awards and the Maldon Tandoori had won a highly commended award. It was my birthday last week and Sarah wanted to invite me to a special meal. To start with we had a selection of mixed kebabs. The meat was tender and delicately flavoured. I particularly liked the lamb which was very lean and not fatty. Apart from Indian food I also love sea food, especially crustaceans. So I ordered Tandoori King Prawn Jalfrezy Balti which looked amazing and huge, they were almost the size of langoustines. They were cooked to perfection. The rice accompanying this dish was lemon rice - a strange combination that to my surprise actually works and complimented the flavour of the prawns. We also had vegetables - Bhindi Raj(chopped okra in light spice) and Begun Raj (fried aubergines with onion). Sarah had Mirchi Massala, very spicy lamb with green chillies. I tried a bit and decided that this would be the dish for me next time we visited. It was spicy hot but pleasant without causing distress to the throat. I was so fired up by the end of the meal, not just because of the spices, but because I now knew an Indian restaurant that was going to satisfy my taste for hot and spicy dishes. But what really impressed me was the chef's promise to experiment with one of my recipes which was given to me by a dear friend many years ago. I can hardly wait for my next culinary outing to Maldon

The Maldon Tandoori Ticks All The Boxes. Much Bett
The Maldon Tandoori ticks all the boxes. Much better value than its overpriced counterparts in the overpriced Chelmsford area. Great flavoursome cuisine which can be finely tuned by the customer to suit all palates. Nothing was too much for the gentlemen there, who probably would also have serviced my car while we ate, at no extra cost, had I asked.
Portion size is also very generous. If you're like me, and you hate to waste food, bear this in mind whilst ordering. The garlic naan is especially nice, due to the crisp nuggets of garlic carpeted on top.
The attentive, efficient, yet aloof fantastic form of service there ensures top marks for my favourite restaurant, which I use as a "special treat" to myself, and my partner when we feel we deserve one.
Prospective restaurant owners would do well to train their staff to that standard.
