It Was A Wet And Windy Day And Our Stomachs Were R
It was a wet and windy day and our stomachs were rumbling. As we arrived in Ovington we drove past "Windships" - a lovely looking restaurant. We did a U-turn and walked up to have a look. It's actually a shop and gallery that serves the community, as well as being a fab restaurant.
We were quickly seated by a very friendly member of staff (I think she was the chef's wife) and presented with the menus. They had some great warming classics, like sausage and mash, as well as more adventurous dishes. When the food arrived we were all very impressed. It was incredible (especially for the price). Another great thing about Windships is that they're licensed, which means you can have a glass (or bottle) with your lunch or dinner.
The restaurant itself has been stunningly refurbished to a very high standard, and it feels very comfortable and relaxed. It would suit anybody. However, I'm not so sure it would suit a very young child's palette (but I'm sure that the very friendly staff would pick something out for you).
Overall, Windships couldn't have been more perfect for our Lunch out, but I'd like to go back for dinner!
