We Dined, If You Can Call It That!, Here About A W

We dined, if you can call it that!, here about a week ago, Just awful

The worst service and food I have ever encountered, I wish we could give this minus rating.

Food was cold and burnt, just terrible for the amount of money they are asking.

Because it's a nice pub in a great location doesn't mean its any good.

The manager is just oblivious to how bad this place is, and he seems to be the main problem!

A complete waste of time and money, in hindsight we should have refused to pay.

Do not eat here, go up the street and eat anywhere in Hamble but The Bugle.

Visited On A Wednesday Night Two Weeks Ago. Only

Visited on a Wednesday Night two weeks ago. Only 8 people dining including our party of 4. twenty mins after ordering starters I was advised that the sweet chilli sauce to accompany Tempura had run out so can they substitute - I shouldn't have accepted the subsitute as is didn't go at all with the dish, however thought if I changed my order I would then be eating on my own. Ordered mains - after a 35 min wait we were told my husbands choice wasn't availble so he changed order - the food eventually turned up after a further 45 minutes. No-one came to see if we wanted any more drinks during the 1 hour 20 mins we were waiting for our food or to tell us how much longer the wait would be. The two staff who were working seemed fed up and were unaccommodating. when the food turned up it was fine - but no better than the same price at any of the other pubs around here. I'll be going to the Jolly sailor in future - I will not return to the bugle and wouldn't recommend it.

Good Pub-food Menu Including Fish And Chips, Burge

Good pub-food menu including fish and chips, burger (both excellent), plus specials board (excellent fish - superb bream 2 weeks ago for under a tenner, cod on mash last week for £13). Excellent house wines for just over three quid a glass, also real ales. Not the cheapest in Hamble but the best food. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and obliging staff. Nice bar area, separate restaurant area plus a function room.

We Haven't Eaten At The Bugle For Nearly A Year As

We haven't eaten at the Bugle for nearly a year as the last meal we had here was not such great quality but we are really glad to have tried again. The Bugle has an all new menu, with lots of tasty looking specials, the food was really well cooked and arrived in good time, the waitress told us there was a new chef. Good value for good quality meal!

After Visiting The Bugle For Lunch, Midweek With F

After visiting The Bugle for lunch, midweek with family i was very disappointed. The starters took over an hour to arrive and seemed cold when they did. The main then took 45 mins after we finished the starters and in our opinion lacked flavour. One was burnt and the the others seemed undercooked. Also things were missing that were on the menu discription. We had to ask for the included glass of wine on the lunch time special. I don't recall any staff member apologising for the delay in the food arriving. I'm sorry i didn't complain as i was embarrassed i had taken my family here. We just wanted to leave - it was bad. The dining room was colder than I would have liked. We had no cutlery and it seemed to inconvience the staff that they had to find some for us. There were only 2 other couples in the whole pub so it wasn't as if they should have been rushed off their feet! The 90 quid for the meal that most was inedible.

While At The Bugle And Eating My Main Course We Or

While at the Bugle and eating my main course we ordered a round of drinks. As the drinks arrived i had a tall glass of lemonade spilt all over me and a friend. Staff very apologetic. At the end of the meal we were offered a round of coffee! I feel it would have been better service to knock the price of drinks off or given a discount to myself as i had to sit in very wet clothes! On top of that they tried to charge us for 2 meals we did not even have. Will not be going back. This accident i think was due to the seemingly cramped eating area.

The Bugle In Hamble Was Expensive For A Sunday Lun

The Bugle in Hamble was expensive for a Sunday lunch, and when drinks were added, it was nearly £90 for 4. But you pay a premium I guess for being near the river in a tourist location. I think the food was excellent in quality, and the meat serving was generous, but don't bother with the desserts. Buy an ice cream outside, as it will cost less and fill you up more.

The Use Of Local Produce On The Menu At The Bugle

The use of local produce on the menu at The Bugle was brilliant. It is great that they always support the local supplier.

It was hard to decide which delicious meal to choose. The wine and rum selection was excellent.

I will always go back.

I Have Eaten At The Bugle Three Times Since It Re-

I have eaten at The Bugle three times since it re-opened and feel it must be the best pub to eat in the area. We love this place.
