Limited Playlist
Chris Evans and Ryan Tupridy seem to have a slightly better play list than the remainder of the shows, so once their shows are over it's like de ja vu every couple of hours! Dasha seems to be playing every 3 hours or so, if you listen to Jayne Middlemiss it seems every track she plays is 'her all time favourite' and tune in to Anthems to hear the Stones, Bowie, Rod Stewart and the Beatles on a loop.
There's a better selection of music on Radio 2 but now Steve and Ken have gone the DJs let it down. It's a no win situation

If they did they want to listen to virgin radio
They might hear singers or songs they know or want to sing along to if it's their type of music or song to sing along to
I like all songs and singers

Limited Play List
When I started listening to Virgin Radio Anthems I really enjoyed it but it has gone downhill. The playlist is so small it is boring. Unless you want to listen to Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Police or Queen. All very good but do they really need to play them every hour? They now say they are playing classic tracks from their record collection, which I reckon will fit in a single filing cabinet.

Needs To Play Updated Music !
I've listened to radio 2 for over 20 years now and tried to switch to virgin as Chris evens and Graham norton have moved over to the station , they are still as professional as ever , but the music is terrible its like listing to an 80s radio station with a very limited play list ! And to top it off when the other DJs on the station are on they talk about these hits like we've only just heard them! But intact we've been listening to the same old stuff for over 30 years ! Don't mind the old stuff and it's good to mix it up a bit and to be honest that's what radio 2 is very good at a verity of music that appeals to everyone within a certain age !
So sorry but it doesn't matter what DJ you have at the end of the day it's the music that's the most important in my eyes. Back to radio 2 for me unfortunately even though the DJ aren't very good (appart fron Ken bruce and Steve Wright!

Since We Bought A Dab Radio Two Years Ago Virgin I
Since we bought a DAB radio two years ago Virgin is our first choice after 10.00 in a morning. A great mix of music that even our teenage children listen too. great choice of music - I'm 49 years old and the range definitely appeals to me.
Jeff Lloyd and Chris Evans are great - make me laugh...
Not Happy With This Radio Station. Too Many Advert
Not happy with this radio station. Too many adverts, not enough music. Too many loud speaking DJ's. Change it back to Virgin Radio!
Since They've Been Saying They're "soon To Be Abso
Since they've been saying they're "soon to be Absolute radio" they've been playing a lot more old classics and saying that we can expect more of the same when they become Absolute Radio fully. Great news! Songs like Watching the Detectives by Elvis Costello, Boys Don't Cry by the Cure - fantastic! Even Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen would be a welcome change from the usual dross. They're promised to play more "new" music too from Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs... so I take it they just means new releases by this bands, because they're hardly "new" are they? Watch this space.

Virgin Is Ok. It's Reasonably Inoffensive And Ok A
Virgin is ok. It's reasonably inoffensive and ok as background music. None of the DJs are particularly annoying in that they don't tend to SHOUT A LOT LIKE ON SOME STATIONS and you just don't notice them much. Mainly the music is pretty middle of the road - loads of Beatles, Stones, Bowie, David Grey, KT Tunstall, the Kaiser Chiefs, U2, Coldplay, Stereophonics, etc. The problem is, mostly, that they play the same songs ad infinitum - classic hits. With so much to choose from, they always choose the same stuff. Once a new song is popular, for example, "I Predict A Riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs, on other stations, Virgin waits until the song has actually left the chart and the band in question releases a new single, in this case "Oh My God," before putting that older song onto their playlist forever. I've noticed that they play the same bands at the same times of day every day as well. Here's the thing: I have a really cheap shower radio which until XFM Manchester launched last year, only got about 3 stations (now it gets 4) - Galaxy 102, which I can't abide, Talk Sport, which is not my thing, and Virgin. So I used to play Virgin while having a shower in the morning. Every morning for 2 years I heard the same 5 or 6 bands - Bowie ('Ashes to Ashes' or 'Heroes'), Stereophonics ('Have a Nice Day' or 'Handbags and Gladrags', both of which songs make me psychotic with rage at their irritating-ness), Rolling Stones ('Sympathy for the Devil' or 'Satisfaction' which I loathe!) David Gray ('This Year's Love' or 'Babylon'), KT Tunstall ('Black Horse and the Cherry Tree'), Coldplay ('The Scientist' or 'Clocks'), Snow Patrol ('Spitting Games' or 'Chocolate'), etc. Always the same songs. It was ok for a while, I mean occasionally they throw you a bone of something different, but eventually it makes you lose the will to live. Change is good. Challenge is good. Hearing songs you don't hear everyday is good.

I Love Christian O'connell In The Morning On Virgi
I love Christian O'Connell in the morning on Virgin Radio. I first got hooked with Chris Evans about 8/9 years ago and been continually listening ever since. If in the morning, like me, you need every little bit if help to get up tune in to Virgin as Christian and the team give you that uplifting feeling you need to get on with your day.
