The Great British Bake Off

I've been watching The Great British Bake Off now for a couple of years and I am still amazed at the baking talents and just how much better they seem to get year after year.

The combined team of bakery knowledge, Mr Paul Hollywood and legend Mary Berry and comedy team Mel and Sue make this show more than just another cooking show or contest. Each week the ever dwindling contestants face three challenges to test their knowledge and skills with an oven.

My favourites are normally the technical challenge round, where the contestants have no idea what they are about to bake and their efforts are judged blind.

Just seeing the at times confused face of Paul Hollywood as the bakers explain what they are baking is also a highlight as unusual ingredients are used with sometimes terrible results.

I've picked up several great ideas as well as useful tips plus being entertained so I would really recommend giving the GBBO a view.
