Its Time You Grab Yourself A Bottle Of Trueblood.
Never have I been so engrossed in a world as much as I have been in True Blood. The world has some amazlingly realised characters, some of them are the most memorible characters of all time. The Vampire are the real show-stealers her, with some magnifcent moments from seasons 1-5 of this amazing show.
I loved the characters, I loved the setting, I loved the storylines. In short I loved all the aspects of the show. Alan Ball (writer. producer) has done an amazing job of staying loyal to the books, while making the show feel new. If Vamps aren't your thing, there are Werewolves, witches, Shape-shifters and Fariy's, so there is a vast array of super-natural beings to fall in love with.
My Favourite!
This is without a doubt my favourite show on tv currently - cant wait for the new series to come out in September!! You should also check out the books, they're also excellent reading if you enjoy the show

First Vampires Not To Suck
I have to say I'm a bit sick of vampire TV/Movies as a whole, but this series changes everything. It's a totally original approach, with an intelligent plot (mostly), excellent character building and some great one liners.
Any SciFi buffs out there should give it a go.

Fantastic And Engrossing, Really Exciting And At T
Fantastic and engrossing, really exciting and at times genuinely scary. I loved it and have watched all 3 series, there is a 4th series coming out this year I think. Can't wait!

I Missed Watching True Blood The First Time Round
I missed watching True Blood the first time round when it was aired on FX in the UK. It was always on too late and I didn't want to get dragged into a show that might turn out to be a stinker or waste 6 years of my life for a pointless ending (Lost...). So I waited. It came out on Blu Ray so I thought I'd give it a whirl on Lovefilm. So glad I did. It has a sharp script with generally great actors (the only one strangely who is not that great is Anna Paquin), it's funny, dark and very sexed up...much like my favourite show Twin Peaks. OK so the sex scenes are pretty full on but the overall story of a small southern town that has to start dealing with it's vampire population is a great spin on a very well worn tale.
There are strong plays on American history with an on going debate over vampire rights, much like the civil liberties during the 60's. If you haven't watched it yet. I strongly suggest you hunt it down. You'll soon have your favourite characters (Lafayette and Eric are mine).
