New York Bakery Cinnamon Pretzels

I like this a lot. Quick snack that tastes good. Its really affordable and I highly recommend it.

The pretzel is supposed to represent hands clasped in prayer. Well please pray you never have the misfortune to receive a pack of these heavy, stodgy, strips of knotted dough.

The texture is unappealing un-toasted. It is heavy, it tries to chew back at you. It has the feeling of being the inside trim of a car door, you know the rubber stuff that stops the water getting in.

Toasted, it is marginally better, elevating itself to the heights of self adhesive draft strip!

The colour is likewise uninspiring and glaringly artificial. The dull red/ochre colour reminds me of clay from days in the school art class. Perhaps that is the source of the dough!

The flavour is ok, lightly spiced, perhaps a bit sweeter than it needs to be but that probably compensates for the heavier than lead texture and feel.

In short, do not bother!
