Shameful Custke.r Service

My initial sale was items were received no problem. It's when I had a problem with a tap after just 2 months and returned for friendly advice. I was met with a totally different man. I was spoken to ever so rudely accused of wasting his time and being paranoid. It was a stressful experience. I left having been given a refund for the purchase of a second tap instead of the assistance repairing the first tap I had bought from them. A neighbouring competitor then helped me repair their tap a service I should have enjoyed from doble. Avoid.

Wish I'd Never Ordered From Them

I initially was very impressed with this place. I went into the showroom and consulted the showroom manager who was knowledgable and I ended up ordering everything I needed for my new bathroom.

Once it all arrived, everything changed. The shower tray was the wrong one to fit my joists. I rang to point this out and was told it was my responsibility to order the right things even though this was the one that I had been recommended in store. I had to pay a restocking fee for this which I was annoyed about as I didn't think it had been my fault. It then took over 6 weeks to get the refund for this.

In the showroom I had specifically requested a suite with no branding and was advised to order both basin and toilet from the same company so they'd match. When mine arrived both had branding and the two porcelains didn't match. I was told there was nothing they could do about this. Apparently they didn't remember having this conversation with me and the items I had seen in store without branding were older models - this hadn't been pointed out to me.

On both instances I found the manager had completely changed personality. He was rude, aggressive, talked over me, was confrontational and completely unhelpful and incredibly unprofessional. I have never been spoken to by someone like that in a shop before. He pretty much said that I was no longer their concern as I wasn't a customer any more.

I went to a smaller independent company to get good advice and good after sales care and received neither of these. I wish I'd ordered it all elsewhere now and am angry that they've had any of my money for the terrible service that they provided.

Appalling

Phoned to check stock of three showers, two were in stock so ordered the one I wanted (which was in stock) on the internet as per there instructions, money taken, confirmation received, thought I'd best check when the delivery was coming as the plumber is booked, to get told 7th May, three weeks time! On the phone I was told it would be two days, a slight difference. If I had not phoned to check the plumber would be twiddling his thumbs with me paying him for his time.

Having Finally Decided What Shower And Wc I Actual

Having finally decided what shower and wc I actually wanted I searched for the best value. Having found Doble Bathrooms gave me the best deal I ordered the goods online one evening. Doble Bathrooms called the next day and confirmed that the items ordered were in stock. We arranged a date for delivery that was mutually convenient and the goods arrived as promised. The courier company used did not have a tracking facility which I would actually prefer but Doble Bathroom's representative gave me the contact tel number for the courier so I was able to phone to check that the goods were on their way. All in all a good service and I would use this company again.

No Delivery Notifications

I have ordered a number of items from Doble Bathrooms recently and you receive no notification of delivery information. This makes it difficult to have someone at the delivery address.

The most recent delivery was so badly packaged I was surprised it arrived without any damage.

This has put me off ordering anything else from them in the future.

Great Prices, Fast Delivery & Friendly Customer Service

Purchased an Ideal Standard offset corner bath complete with panel and screen. Doble's were by far the cheapest all in price I could find after weeks of searching the internet. However, I hesitated ordering for a while as I couldn't find a single on-line customer review of the company. After doing as much research as possible to convince myself they were a legitimate business by finding them on companies house website etc. I decided to take a chance and place my order.

I am so pleased I did, here's what happened next:-

The website advises you to call and check stock levels before placing your order on-line. I called on a Wednesday afternoon, the lady I spoke was extremely polite and friendly, within a few minutes she'd confirmed the items I wanted to order were in stock at the suppliers and were usually delivered in 2-3 working days. So next I proceeded to place my order on-line and immediately got a confirmation email back in return.

Within the next hour, I got a call asking me if Friday would be ok for delivery (yes just 2 days later!!!), I confirmed it was fine.

Friday arrived and me being impatient around lunch time I was starting to think there may be a problem as I'd not heard anything and nothing had arrived, so I called Dobles. Once again they were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They firstly confirmed to me it was definitely on its way for delivery that day (which put my mind at rest), then went on to get in touch with the courier company. They in turn got in touch with the driver to confirm whereabouts on the list of drops I was. The lady from Dobles called me back with this information (as promised) and confirmed that I was towards the end of the list so it would be late afternoon.

Sure enough, the lorry pulled up around 3pm, and just like Doble's themselves, the courier driver was just as pleasant and helpful, even helped my carry the bath right into the house and helped me inspect it for any damage. All the items were present and correct and thankfully nothing had been damaged in transit.

So to summarise, that was a very large bath, panel and screen delivered 48 hours after ordering over 200 miles away, it just doesn't get any better than that in my experience.

It's not very often that you get the combination of the cheapest prices combined with great customer service, it's usually one or the other, but not with Doble's.

I don't normally bother to write customer reviews, but I felt that strongly about the quality of the service I've received and know the doubts I had initially due to the lack of other reviews, so felt obliged on this occasion to tell others and hopefully generate some more business for them (they deserve it) as they clearly understands what good service looks like.
