Salt And Pepper Grinders
i have been so disappointed with the salt and pepper grinder. Originally I brought a pair, and was delighted, as they looked good so I ordered 3 sets as present - my grinders stopped working within a few weeks, peppers wouldn't grind, and the salt didn't grind finely enough, even though my husband adjusted it, and the rest have gone the same way, I feel embarrassed as they were presents. They are a total waste of money and certainly would not recommend.

Never Buy From Jean Patrique, Is A Corn!
I have ordered the salt and pepper mill and it comes with a free can opener. I waited 4 weeks to receive it. To my horror when it arrived, it was broken. I rang the customer service they denied my order comes with a free can opener. Their advert is to deceive the customers, never buy from them. They have charged the postage of delivery and I have to pay for the postage of return despite they sent a broken product. There is no slightest duty of care from them.

Broken...shoddy Product
I bought these products and judging by the other comments my grinders could be one of the same!! One grinder the base wouldn't attach and the other grinder the black plastic rim was split and detached on one section...I phoned Jean Patrique and was told to return them and obtain proof of postage which I did. I returned them the same day they were delivered, 3rd March 2014.....on 27th March I emailed them and they said they hadnt received the returned item and I was to contact the post office..
I am reporting them to trading standards as the defective items were in that condition when they packaged them to me...dont deal with this company....probally send my defective items out to another consumer after obtaining money for them via wowcher and expecting P.O. to pay compensation to consumer for lost item by P.O. when infact they received "lost item"

Arrived Broken And Impossible To Get In Touch With Company
I order a set of electronic salt and pepper mills, they arrived in the same box, poorly packaged and both mills were broken in the same place and rendered useless. The instructions for return insist that I would need and RAC (return code) which I could get by calling the number on the returns form. I called the number and was put straight through to an automated service with NO option for returns. Impossible to contact a customer service rep. This company is a complete crock! DO NOT purchase anything for this company.
Arrived Broken The Grinder Was Not Even Attached
The grinder arrived broken, was not even glued to the body, how can a company send out products without even looking at them first. Will never buy anything from this company again.
Shoddy Goods
Don't work and can't get hold of the company. What a rip off

Appalling Quality And Abysmal Customer Service
I bought some of their electronic pepper/salt mills only to discover that they wouldn't grind pepper. Three batches and two different designs later they never sent a single mill that would work properly.
They also declined to refund return postage, as requested, on every occasion until they were phoned and chased (calls charged at 10p per minute from a BT landline). When phoning I was repeatedly left on hold for ages and even hung-up on as soon as they answered.
Against my wishes they also propogated the email address I had given them to many other companies such as loan companies, mis-sold insurance claimants and laser eye surgeons. Emails to them were often ignored even though I received auto-acknowledgements of their delivery.
A supervisor finally told me that it was never possible to escallate complaints to management as they wouldn't accept calls or any other form of communication from customers.

Jean Patrque Electronic Peppermill
Enticed into buying the peppermill fortnight ago. I'm disabled and the idea of grinding pepper at the touch of a button appealed enormously. Stupidly I didn't even consider the possibility of it being complete and utter rubbish as Chinese production is cheap and generally fair quality these days sio though the actual product wasn't costing much I nsively thought the company was going to make its decent profit margin from the mega hefty postage & packing charges.
The peppermill did indeed arrive very promptly and worked astonishingly well on one or two occasions. Since then, NOTHING! Its execrable. I can also see its not going to be worth returning due to previous posts and mailing costs.
My asvice, don't touch this company with a bargepole.
Q&A
What type of salt and pepper do you advise to put in the mills?
