It Don't Work

Pump as much as I want nothing comes out of the spout. Neither water nor steam. The body gets hot .

But not below the water line. Land fill time. I like this site though ..the fact you can give no stars is better than most which make you give at least 1 ..which would be inappropriate for something that does not actually work.

De-grease No, De-crease Yes,

The Penguin proved almost useless at degreasing the cooker hood but I found its modest output excellent for taking creases out of painted canvases. A quick squirt on the back and leave to air dry.

It doesnt look like the pro's choice for stretching canvases, but keep it in the backroom and who's to know ?

Not Suitable

I bought this machine and used in kitchen to remove grease from top of ovan but it does not work as desire. steam level not upto the mark and you have to refile it again and again after usage of few minutes. Over all product is wastage of money.

Love This Little Penguin!

Having used my mums for years i was finally glad to own my own Penguin. It gives a good strong burst of steam, enough to lift candle wax off of my plastic window sill.

Easy to use, just press the lever on his head a few times to get the steam going, then press it every few seconds to keep it going. It is a strong jet, but as it heats the water as it goes the strength will wane to get stronger again very quickly as it generates new steam.

I find it gives a lovely streak free shine to my glass splashbacks and my worktops sparkle.

I have literally just finished steaming my natural floor tiles to help me scrape the grime off. So much simpler with this Penguin.

I can't get mind to produce any steam at all! How long does it need to heat up before the steam comes?

pawdna

Maybe u should come to my house & see if u can get mine to work. All it does is heat up.

Not Fit For Purpose.

The weak spurt of steam was nowhere near strong enought to shift any dirt. The flex is far too short. It would not reach from the hall to the bathroom. You need an extension lead to go any distance. I have used it once. I shall not bother again. In its favour it is quite a cute design although too small to be efficient.

I do not recommend any-one buying it

I Have This Hometek Ht881 Steamer For More Then 2

I have this hometek ht881 steamer for more then 2 years and I can say i use it for all purpose i needed. It is ok and it makes good job although I have a problem with refilling all the time the tank with water. If you use it full power in 20 minutes the tank is empty and you have to stop, wait for the steamer to cool of and then to refill it.this thing it takes you more then 1/2 hour which is not a good thing when you are in the hurry.

Otherwise it is a good product, great power of the steam, cleaning in the most unbelievable places.

I would recommend his product to anyone!

The First Use Of My Hometek Ht881 Penguin Was Fine

The first use of my Hometek HT881 Penguin was fine when I used it to clean the shower - not quite as good as the demonstration, but not too bad. However when I went to use it for the second time there was nothing - not even a small puff of steam I tried ALL of the manufacturers tips and still could not make the thing work.

This Product Is A Waste. It Is Impossible To Use A

This product is a waste. It is impossible to use as expected. The pump action does not produce enough pressure to get the desired results and is soon tiresome. I advise you to avoid.

This Hopeless Implement By The Name Of Hometek Ht8

This hopeless implement by the name of Hometek HT881 Penguin has got to be the biggest waste of money ever. Quite simply, this steam cleaner doesn't work. It wouldn't even shift toothpaste splats on my bathroom sink, it didn't go near grease spots in the kitchen and it was totally useless on a light mark on my living room carpet.

Also, what the advertising blurb fails to tell you is that in order to get a continuous stream of steam, you have to be constantly squeezing the pump handle which makes it almost impossible to scrub at stains at the same time. As I have a health condition which means I have a weak grip anyway, this made things very hard going indeed! If I had known that this was the only way to operate the steamer, I wouldn't have bought it.

Where do you get spare parts from?

J.L.Tooze

We have lost our cap for the Penguin HT881 and need another one. Where can we get a replacement from please? Another stand for it would be a help as well.
