Baumatic F60.2SS

Just had a new Baumatic cooker hood fitted and wished I had read the reviews - noisy & vibrates violently when used and hot. Really disappointed.

I had a new kitchen installed two years ago it came with all the usual free items including a Baumatic dishwasher, we had to have it repaired within the first 12 months it was not getting the dishes clean, it was covered under the warranty, the warranty has now expired and yes you are right It has broken again, so avoid Baumatic at all costs. I have just been and bought a new Bosch dishwasher at a cost of £460.00, the Baumatic will be going to the tip where it belongs.

when you have a free appliance installed your don't usually get a choice.

Had a hood years ago and service was not good. In january of this year I bought a whole new kitchen with baumatic products and they are top notch and not as expensive as some other big makes. I had one problem where I damaged a part on my fridge and the customer care was superb. Even though it was my fault they sent me a new part 2 days later and the staff were very good to me in their call centre. There have definately been improvements there. Maybe they can compete with the big boys soon.

Just over 2 years old and inoperable due to very noisy fan. To be honest, the fan was always noisy on the fastest setting and when the hood got hot due to cooking. Not a good trait for a cooker hood! Also if you push in a fan button, it doesn't always stay 'in', you have to press it in 2-3 times. I've dismantled the fan assembly and the plastic impeller has been hitting the metal casing of the assembly. Trying to buy a new impeller and I'll fit it myself.`

I had this cooker hood professionally fitted from new exactly a year ago, it has now become so loud that I am afraid to use it as the sound it like internal parts vibrating/working loose.

I have just contacted Baumatic regarding the supposed 2 year warranty on this unit so I am waiting in hope they honour their warranties and offer good customer service.

I purchased 3 Baumatic appliances for my new house . They were installed around July 2010 and came with 2 years manufacturers warranty. Afyter 4 months the double oven failed and Baumatic came out to replace a part that had shorted (the engineer told me it was actually potentially very dangerous!!!!). In Dcember 2011 the timer on the same appliance failed (so much for the Baumatic claim that their products are "quality"!!!!!

I rang and arranged for an engineer to come out but the day before they cancelled and rearranged for the following week. I took time off from work but they didn't turn up (despite at least 5 phone calls by me to them and assurances that the engineer was "on his way") It cost me half a day's pay. Eventually the appliance was repaired and Baumatic promised me a further extension to the warranty of 6 months by way of an apology. They said it would come in writing.............I'm still waiting now and have sent over 10 emails and made a number of phone calls.

USE BAUMATIC AT YOUR PERIL. Their product is not very good and their Customer Service is totally non-existent.

Switch has failed and it is out of warranty, a poor quality unit.

I WOULD DESCRIBE THE AFTER CARE OF THE BAUMATIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT NON EXCISTENT, I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY COOKER HOOD, AS THE IMPELLOR DISINTIGRATED, CALLED BAUMATIC WHO PROMISED TO SEND A SERVICE ENGINEER, 3 WEEKS LATER WAS STILL WAITING THEN THEY SENT THIS OUTFIT CALLED AFTERCARE WHO HAD NO SPARE PARTS ON VAN WAITED ANOTHER MONTH AND STILL DIDN'T GET FIXED CALLED BAUMATIC SO MANY TIMES IN THE END I JUST GAVE UP, AND THEY SENT ME PART IN POST. THE SERVICE DEPT AND CUSTOMER SERVICES DEPT TOLD ME SO MANY LIES I WOULD NEVER BUY THERE PRODUCT AGAIN AND WOULD NEVER RECOMEND ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

I Had a beautiful kitchen fitted with all the bells and whistles including stone worktops and flooring. The only hitch is this extractor it just didnt work and Baumatic had to come and fit a new switch which took 4 working days. I would recommend Baumatic but not this model extractor.

I have owned this F60.2SS rangehood for just over 3 years now, unfortunately when just outside warranty period the light switch/button stopped working and the motor when on level 3 extraction now vibrates very noisily so cannot use at that level, but stainless steel casing still ok - just the main working parts inside do not hold out for long! So it looks good but not working too well. Original price good but parts expensive and electrican will need to fit the light switch part so he will add his cost too. Also hard to track down where to get parts in NZ and have to order and wait!! Very dissapointed, expected better value than this.
