Breville JK73

I spent double the price I wanted on a kettle because I loved the blue light which matched the blue spotlights in my new kitchen. Unfortunately I misplace the receipt in our house move- I'd had the kettle packed away til the kitchen was finished used it for exactly two months when the light stopped working and the kettle boiled and boiled and before switching off. I wrote to customer service and the attitude was- tough! I then said at least can you tell me how to replace the bulb. The reply was that the bulb cannot be replaced and the light does not effect the working of the kettle. NO, BUT THEY ARE SELLING THE KETTLE ON THE LOOKS and the lighting system of a blue light which turns to red when the kettle has boiled AND IT IS CALLED LIGHTNING! Their emails are very cold and formal. I'll have to try and find the receipt as the kettle was bought about 4 months ago. It looks great til the lights go out! First and last time I'll buy this inferior brand.

All singing all dancing but hasn't lasted, just suddenly stopped working almost three years to the day we bought it. The filter got a hole in it after 18 months, as we live in a soft water area we didn't replace it after finding out how much it would cost.

The kettle is heavy when empty and when full it is very heavy on the wrist, The blue LED light has just gone after 1 year of use. Can the bulb be replaced? and if so, where can I get the bulb from.

The kettle's filter is extremely good, making a cup of tea taste smoother and it does have a fast boil time.

blue light on my Breville JK73 went off after 12months of using it, no replacement filters available, otherwise quick and quiet boiling

Had the Breville JK73 for three years now and it has given good service.

The only problem I have at present is that I cannot find a replacement filter as, at the last attempt to clean it of limescale, it crumbled away!

I will continue to search for a replacement filter but would happily buy another Breville, as other makes have failed to meet my expectations!

Our Breville JK73 only lasted 18 months (there's only two of us). So, we wont be buying another breville.

Bought this Breville kettle - after 12 months the blue light went out and then a month later its totally not working. Only comes with 1 year guarantee and for £35 that is not good enough. Just replaced with another brand that was only £20 and has 2 year guarantee.

Lovely kettle boils fast no probs with the working of the kettle at all.good boiler but blue led light went out after 12 months. My blue illuminating light has gone out after only 12 months and it doesnt look so good any more. I have contacted breville to see what they are willing to do about this problem. fingers crossed,
