Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug

I've had this kettle for more than 4 years it start leaking after

2yrs and now stop boiling the water at all. I will never recomend this

Brand to any1.

Obviously this kettle has a design fault. The filter system works fine, if a little slow. The main problem with this kettle is leaking. I have found leakages from the handle area, I have burnt myself a couple of times with the water vapour escaping everywhere, and the the base of the kettle is even worse. I cannot understand why there are so many leaks on a nicely designed kettle. I do not use the kettle now. It's use at the minute is solely for water filtration as I still have a few filters left, After they are used up the kettle will disposed of. I will never buy this kettle again no matter how cheap the price. It is dangerous, and with so many reviews saying the same thing...Should make your mind up.

THIS IS THE 3RD BRITA ACCLARIO FILTER KETTLE I'VE OWNED. THEY HAVE ALL LEAKED BADLY BY THE END OF 2 YEARS, IF NOT EARLIER. THE BIGGEST LEAKS ARE FROM UNDERNEATH AND I'VE HAD TO PUT IT ON A LIPPED TRAY TO SAVE MY BLACK GRANITE WORK SURFACE. HOWEVER THE MOST DANGEROUS LEAKS ARE FROM THE HANDLE WHICH GIVE US SCALDS, CAUSED BY STEAM. I THOUGHT THE FIRST ONE WAS A FLUKE AND BOUGHT THE NEXT 2 TOGETHER (HALF PRICE IN SALE!) AS APART FROM THE LEAKS I REALLY LIKED IT. NOW I KNOW WHY THEY WERE HALF PRICE! I LIVE IN A VERY HARD WATER AREA AND THEREFORE NEED A LIMESCALE FILTER TO GIVE US DRINKS THAT AREN'T 'SCUMMY'. THIS TIME ROUND I'VE BOUGHT A BREVILLE SPECTRA FILTER KETTLE AND I HOPE IT'S AN IMPROVEMENT ON THESE LAST THREE! FINGERS CROSSED!

Biggest load of rubbish I have ever bought > DO NOT BUY even if there is no other choice - its better to go without hot water than but this heap of junk . I am now on my 3rd kettle , They all leak like hell, potentially life threatening as obvoiusly electic and water coming together in the wrong circumstances .

There are easier and cheaper ways to kill yourself , dont give Brita the opportunity to make a fast buck with the wort possible kettle EVER

It looks good and filters water well BUT THE LEAKS ARE HORRENDOUS. i HAVE HAD TO PUT MINE ON A LIPPED TRAY TO AVOID DAMAGING MY GRANITE WORKTOP. iT ALSO LEAKS FROM THE HANDLE AND WE'VE BEEN SCALDED BY THE STEAM ESCAPING FROM THE HANDLE. I WON'T BUY ANOTHER!!!! IT'S THE THIRD I'VE HAD AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO THEM TOO!!!!

I've owned this Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug kettle for 5 years. The good thing is the water taste and speed to boil. It started to leak from the base about 18mths ago and I've scalded my hand quite often when picking it up. Now in the market for a new one because I'm fed up with mopping the work-surface.

this is our second Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug kettle in 4 years. they seem to be made not to last for long cosidering the uniy cost of around £60. Also have found it difficult to open the and to find spares for them.

The Brita Acclario Water Filter Cordless Jug is a good concept. Filtering and boiling very efficiently.

Only had it a little over a year and only use it on average twice a day. It was a very bad pourer right from the begining but now seems to be leaking from the base. Whenever I lift the kettle up, always a large puddle on the mains base and also the worktop.

I was tempted to replace the kettle as I thought first one was maybe just bad luck. Luckily after reading the other reviews it seems it maybe a design fault.
