Glen Slimline Oil Filled Radiator Heater

Hi i bought a heater from Lidls approx 3 months ago my family used it a couple of times then my youngest daughter shouted dad come quickly i can smell burning i quickly pulled out the plug which was smouldering .The next day i took the heater back to Lidls the under manager was very apoligetic and saidhe was very sorry and i requested that a full in vestigation would be taken i said that in another three mins that whole house would have gone up.He also took the serial number plus my phone number and said within a short while you would be hearing from us two weeks later no answersby phone or by documentation so i rang up Lidls and said i,m not very happy the lady on the phone said she ewould chase them up so i waited for another week still no answers so again i rang up and asked to speak to a manager she said personally she would chase the manifactures up i said i don,t think you are grasping the seriousness of what could have happened lives could have been lossed she assured me that the heater was up to European Standards welli said this one must have got the through the net, have a guess what i still have not heard back from lidls to date , but i,m not letting it go i shall write to them yet again i wat to no if anybody else has had problems with ths heater please let me know if ther are Kind Regards
