This machine works well, by putting water into it. It quickly makes ice cube and has good taste, crushed ice is also super.

Purchased From Internet Appliance Vendor About A Y
Purchased from internet appliance vendor about a year ago. We have been putting water in the top of the unit when the warning light comes on. It makes great ice for drinks and especially if you like to eat ice. Nice white pieces that are easy to chew. Crushed ice is great, better than Sonic. Noisy though when fan is running to keep unit cool. Maintenance instructions are not thorough enough. We've followed the instructions by cleaning with diluted vinegar solution on a regular basis. I've been worried about mold and decided to take a close look today and, sure enough, it is there. I took the screws out of the tray where the ice comes out and there is a thick, gooey mold patch right where the ice comes out. Threads of the stuff come out when draining the unit with each cleaning too. Am now trying to dissemble to take a closer look. Whynter needs to include instructions with cleaning to prevent this issue.

The Was Machine Has Not Worked From Day One And Af
The was machine has not worked from day one and after numberous attempt to communicate with Whynter LLC and lots of frustration I would not recommend this machine to anyone. The machine leaked from the bottom and went back anf forth for one month trying multiple ways of fixing the problem and finally pressured the company into allowing the machine to be returned. Three weeks after returning the unit we have yet to have a replacement unit to be shipped out to us. The company keeps stalling and wanting additional information. My husband and I are not repair tech and they kept wanting us to keep trying different fixes. After purchasing the machine in June it is not August and we still have no machine to show for it. Customer service is extremely poor and I would not recomend this system to anyone.

I'm Quite Impressed With This Whynter Sno Ice 100s
I'm quite impressed with this Whynter Sno Ice 100s 3 in 1 Portable Ice Maker. Actually calling it a ice maker is not quite accurate. It's an ice maker, ice crusher, water dispenser. It cost slightly more than you typical ice maker but gives you much more value for the dollar.

After The 1st Summer At Our Camper This Whynter Sn
After the 1st summer at our camper this Whynter Sno Ice 100s 3 in 1 Portable Ice Maker stopped working altogether. We took it to an appliance dealer who has tried to contact the company directly to order the part that was needed to fix the machine. They tried unsuccessfully. My husband has also tried unsuccessfully to get someone to at least call him back. I have never been subjected to such poor customer service in my life.

Advertised In Broucher To Produce 26 Lbs Of Ice In
Advertised in broucher to produce 26 lbs of ice in 24 hr. Mine didn't produce 26 lbs total or even close to that in 7 days running constantly. Ice ready in 10 min according to ads on line, book says every 8 min. After 4 hours I got 1/2 cup of saved ice. I averaged 88 cubes every 4 hours which barely over flowed a 2 cup measuring cup. Ice is less than 1 inch long and hollow. It started melting as soon as it hit the glass, melts extremely fast. Tried to save ice for 4 days for a birthday dinner. Due to the fast melting it froze together in freezer. Should have produced around 100 lbs of ice what a joke, I had to go buy ice. Unit suppose to shut off once bin is full, it ran constantly for the 7 days I had it. After 2 calls to store, 2 to the company then sent 2 lengthy faxes (which neither responded to) the only assurance I got was the threat of having to pay shipping if it was found to run properly. I paid an additional $98.00 for 5 year in home warranty. Which I called the warranty service only to be told they were not authorized to do repairs on any Whynter icemakers that even after warranty expired all repairs had to be done by the Whynter co. After 7 days I called for a return label again being told I would have to pay shipping both ways if unit worked to their satisfaction. 2 weeks after UPS had verified delivery to Whynter and no contact from them I called the store. AS expected the store said he got an email (6days prior) from Whynter stating the unit worked fine they ran 2 test unit made 44 cubes in 1 hr twice tested. And it made 190 full cubes over night. I don't beleive it. Even if it produced 190 cubes in 8-12 hrs. (overnight) 190 cubes wouldn't fill a 6 cup measuring cup. Anyway you do the math in no way could that add up to 26 lbs in 24 hours. End result was I was charged $98.00 for shipping and restocking and have no ice maker. I do not recommend this product or any product with the WHYNTER name. I have posted on other sights like shopping.msn, veiwpoints, bizrate, consumerreview and will continue to post anywhere I can find, to share my experience. Please check out my other reviews as i'm not to sure how much info this allows and theres more to tell. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Final suggestion. BUYER BE WARE!
