After having just had my hair cut and walking out with a basic bob and NOT the style I wanted which was initially a layered full style! All I wanted to do was go hide, every shop I walked past I would see from the reflection how awful it looked and it didn't even justify paying £32.00! Some advice, if you visit a hair salon for the first time and it doesn't feel right then get out! I realised this though when I noticed I was having a basic cut with no style, when a stylist gets a vent hair brush out to attempt to curl your hair and not a barrel brush then you are in trouble!!! Also I have fine hair and to be told that having layers would not work it a load of rubbish, I have always had layers in my hair simply to make my hair thicker which does the trick, everyone knows that just not this stylist!!! Ironic hey. Anyway after leaving the salon I had no choice but to get advice and some form of quick-fix to turn my hair disaster round. Hair Associates were open and it was busy. I walked in, obviously looking devastated and upset the senior hair stylist looked some what sorry for me I guess, he knew what my story was. After explaining what had happened he said that he would give me the style I wanted, which should have happened in the first place! After just over 45 minutes my hair was transformed from a hum-drum basic bob to the style I set out to have. A smile instantly appeared. You know when you are in the right place as it does feel right, the way the stylist cuts and pulls at your hair and none of the softly, softly get the vent brush out and attempt to do something with it approach. I ended up paying £35.00 for a cut that should have cost £55.00 which I would have been more than happy to pay, however after wasting £32.00 in the previous place it would have cost me £87.00!!!! To pay £67.00 was still alot, but that is what you get for not following your instincts. I did ask for some form of refund back from the salon I originally went to, he of course refused and tried telling me that he would have done what I wanted but I seemed happy with what he did and that he would cut my hair again. Sod that I would not step into that place again and I won't be recommending him to anyone. Hair Associates all the way as you know you will get a great service and you will walk out of there with a great style cut that you ask for.
