Men's Medium Length Haircut
A few days after the cut now and I can see how uneven the sides are, making it difficult to style. Also, thinning scissors were used to 'take out bulk' though I have fine hair - which has made the ends frizzy. I had described a look that 'embraced my natural curls' more but though the thinning scissors have added texture, they have done nothing for curls so a layering technique would have been better. I spent a lot of the one hour cut getting my hair washed and don't feel like I have a haircut worth £90. I wouldn't recommend this salon.

Overrated
For the prices you pay, this salon is totally not worth it.
Eventhough I had shown a photo of hair colour I wanted, I did not get what I asked for.
It was not horrible- and I can live with it- however my comments were not taken into account. Neither for the hair colour, nor the blow dry.
I feel like they use the same 'recipe' for everyone. I did not pay the highest service prices, so maybe that would have been a different experience, but I did not want waste a ludicrous amount for a maintenance cut & colour. The money you pay basically goes towards the 'image' and priviledged location of the salon.
The atmosphere is all luxurious & glitzy, but the I'm afraid the essence is missing.
Definitely not returning.

Absolute Dissaponintment - Do Not Believe The Hype - Awful
I went to the hair salon a couple of weeks ago. Was made to wait an unreasonable amount of time before my stylist showed up to wash my hair. The whole appointment he was interrupted by another member of staff, and so he kept running off to help her. Rushed my hair cut - spent all of 20mins on cutting my hair and styling, even though I was there well beyond an hour given the amount of time he spent doing other things. Complained to the salon, and absolutely no response - complete and utter waste of my money and time. Ludicrous price for a haircut given the quality and service. Can't say one positive thing about it

Won't Recommend
I have been searching long for a good hairdresser. After a long research and taking into account the positive reviews of Taylor Taylor Liberty, I booked an appointed for a haircut and blow dry with a stylist. My request was a haircut that won't shorthen much my hair legnt give it more body and suit me! I hate the haircut, it doesn't suit the shape of my face at all! At first I decided to give it the beneft of the doubt and hoped that as the haircut sets will suit me better but over a month later I dislike the cut as much as the first day, it doesnt suit me at all!
The salon is beautiful and the staff are polite but when it comes to haircuts I can not recommend this salon!

Awful After-care Service
Awful after care service when I wasn't happy after a treatment. Extremely unprofessional, seems to focus on the 'hip and trendy' image that they clearly want to portray, but actually the standard of service is mediocre, and the girl I spoke to from reception was incredibly rude and arrogant. One of their salons closed down recently. I am not surprised. I certainly would not recommend to anyone.

Worst Salon I've Ever Been To
In sum: Honestly, it's the worst salon I've ever been to. Taylor Taylor ruined my hair, demonstrated poor technique (highlights look more like a poor dye job - out of the box), tried to rip me off by over-charging, and management failed to respond to emails and calls.
I went in to Taylor and Taylor for the first time this week. I was going in to have half a head of highlights. Upon meeting the stylist, he told me he wanted to do Ombre. I was a little confused, because I booked highlights. I kindly said, that Ombre was nice, but I really didn't like the look for myself. He responded by saying, "well, if I have to highlight to the root, I can do a T-section, while at the same time, charge you for a half a head." Keep in mind, the service I booked was, "Half a Head of Highlights," which to my knowledge and every other salon's knowledge on the planet - highlights are traditionally going to the root. I was pretty perplexed. I should have walked out of the salon at that moment, as it already had left a bad taste in my mouth - but decided to sit quietly and agree, though, I felt taken advantage of.
I then explained to the stylist, that I loved my blonde color, but I wanted to go a little brighter, in some sections around the face. He said he preferred it to be more natural, I said, I preferred it to be brighter. Again, I should have read the vibes - we weren't clicking.
Long story short, I left the salon with GREY hair with an orange tinge to it! If you see in the photo, my hair is a golden blonde. So, I wound up with the exact opposite, (or, I don't even know what I wound up with), but it's pretty terrible looking. Additionally, the technique of the highlights honestly look like a bad dye job, straight out of the box. I've tried to wash out as much of the toner as possible (using clarifying shampoo), but I'm left with a gross shade of pale, washed-out orange. And feeling pretty discouraged.
I am very familiar with the standards of many salons in New York City, and after visiting Taylor Taylor Spitafields - I can safely say, from my experience, the salon is "pretend posh". While, I'm sure this is not representative for all staff at the salon, (following my visit, I have read that she does great color and is very kind) but with the stylist I had, it was exceptionally a poor experience.
Prior to this review, I called up the salon the following day; to which I was rushed off the phone, and was told to email management. Additionally, during the brief conversation, the receptionist, stated that management was currently there, so he would have them read the email immediately. I asked if management was there, why I could not speak to them directly over the phone. He explained "that is not our policy". I have still not have had the kind courtesy of a simple reply. In the mean time, I'm having to walk around London, with terrible hair, in a state of flux; and hating your hair when you normally love it, is honestly the worst feeling.
In conclusion, Taylor Taylor not only ripped me off (by charging a half a head for a t-section of highlights), but failed to listen to what I wanted (which wasn't anything unusual or particular). Additionally, the salon demonstrated exceptionally poor technique (every strand of hair goes into foil?), and to top it all off, when a customer is unsatisfied, they choose not respond in order to correct their mistakes. If that doesn't demonstrate the class of the salon, I'm not sure what else does.
In conclusion, I would never in a million years, go here again, even if it was FREE. Salons in London like Windle and Moodie, Cobella, and others do a much better job - and don't have to pretend to be posh, they just do a nice job, and care about their clients.
Pretentious And Unfriendly
Beautiful salon but I have never felt more uncomfortable in a salon before. To not even be greeted as you walk in or offered a drink whilst your stylist is running late is terrible customer service, especially as one member of staff was stood using a computer. Observing 3stylists while i waited, none of which were talking to their clients, just silently snipping away to oh so cool music. I felt this wasnt the place for me and left before sitting in the chair. Sure I want a good haircut and a nice environment but fot me its the staff that make me feel special and comfortable enough to trust them with a pair of scissors

Worst Haircut Ever
I had my cut here about a month ago, by one of the art directors. It cost about 80 quid and I expected something good. It was undoubtedly the worst cut I've had since my mum used to cut my hair in the 80s. I've given it a month now, trying every day since then to make it look decent - without success. It looked nice when I left the salon, because of the way it was styled all scrunched up and curly. But as soon as I washed it, I could tell it wasn't cut straight. It's also been cut without taking into account the natural wave of my hair, so if I let it dry naturally it looks very awkward and jagged. If I blowdry it really carefully, I can make it look half-decent. But it's the kind of half-decent that says "she might have had a good cut 6 months ago but it's very much grown out now". Not really what you want immediately after getting an expensive haircut.
I've had some haircuts I didn't like in my time, but none that seem so technically bad as this one. I guess the guy who cut it is great at styling but not so good at cutting, and really didn't know how to work with my hair (medium thickness, slightly wavy, nothing very complicated). The only saving grace is that he didn't cut it too short so I've now booked in to get it cut again (at another salon).
I'm sure some of the hairdressers at Taylor Taylor are great, as it has an excellent reputation. But at that price, you expect all of them to be good. I wouldn't go back unless I had a very strong recommendation of a specific stylist - too much of a risk.

Best Hairdresser In London
I have tried all the to hairdressers and thought I would try somewhere different for a change!
I had highlights with Jenny and cut with Elsa. Best colour and cut I have had in years!
Great service and I cannot recommend enough.
Swerve This One
I have never experienced such atrocious customer service in my life. I went in for a consultation as I wanted to make a drastic change to my hair, was promised a call back the next day and spent the next week phoning and left 4 MESSAGES only to be given the complete runaround and never phoned back. I still haven't heard from them. I'm surprised that they have any customers left at all with the way that they treat people. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Pretentious and rude.
