Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

If you only take one item into the labour room with you, take a tens machine. I used one and gave birth without any other pain relief; a far cry from my previous labour.

I 100% recommend this company (hi-baby) to hire a tens machine from. The hire process was very simple. You even receive a prompt courtesy email when they receive the tens machine back.

I also found their prices to be the best on eBay. The item arrived within a day, like brand new.

Don't hesitate, use a hired tens. You won't even need gas and air! I wish I'd uses one in my first birth.
