G Force, Glasgow

I've been visiting GForce for years. I generally like to shop in independent stores as they tend to look after you better than the chain stores.

For me, GForce has to be the best. Much better than their new competition down the road (who , last time I was in, were slagging them off to other customers!).

The guys (and girl!) behind the counter have always got good recommendations for me for games that are coming out in the future, and I visit probably every couple of weeks for a chat about current games and stuff. They're always happy to chat with me - whether I'm buying a game or not.

I was in the other day for MW3, which they'd held on pre-order for me with NO deposit! AND I got it for £39.99 without having to buy all the other rubbish that the supermarkets we're forcing you to buy!

Simply brilliant.

I have shopped in G-Force for years now. The customer service is second to none and I would disagree with a lot of the comments made here about rude staff. The knowledge and advice shared with the customers makes it the only place I consider when buying my games or anything else for my console. They have a genuine passion for gaming and a far greater selection of games than most. Including imports and some really hard to find stuff. The swap system is such a good deal and beats other trade-in systems by far. Only £5 to swap a game for another game of the same value? Yes please. G-Force is my first stop when it comes to gaming and also recommended to all my mates.

I Normally shop around for my games, and would always visit Game and HMV first. That was until i was looking for a Copy of Armoured Core 4, i ha donly just found out it was released in Britain so my first day off i went hunting for it in Glasgow. After searching my usual places i dropped into G-Force there i not only found a copy but it was on offer so got it £15 cheaper than i thought it would be. Now there my first choice only other shop i've ever found with same level of service is Game although their trade-in is a rip off and normally more expensive than G-Force.

Quite a good shop,its a pity all the staff are rampant homosexuals.

Silly promotions like buy 2 games ,get free entry into bennets for a baby cham doesnt help their cause.

i called in the other day to see about call of duty black ops and to see if they were selling it on the 6th three days early and the guy said you have to pre-order if it was an xbox copy of the game but for all other consoles it would be on sale on the 6th so i didnt need to pre-order so when the 6th came (TODAY) i went to buy a copy for my ps3 and they told me its only pre-orderd copys they would be selling this made me spit fire because i could have pre-orderd it on the 5th so i will never be using this shop again they let me down in the worst possible way they ruined my day big time plus when i tryed to call the shop they kept picking the phone up and cutting me off very rude!

I called the union steet Gforce games shop to ask a simple question about trading in some diff consoles, i only wanted a rough price to save me having to unplug everything and take it all in there, the phone was answerd and i was told "i'm dealing with someone right now, I'll get right back to you" and then he hung up the phone!!, in my personal opinion this kind of treatment of a potential client is unexceptale, i have always found this shop to be very good, much better than it's mainstream rivels but after today's episode on the phone i certainly wont be shopping there again, if you cant show a shred of respect to someone your prob about to make money from then your in the wrong kind of job!

I've been reading through all the reviews on here and cant help but feel that GForces score is a bit unfair. I've shopped in there for years, and simply wouldnt go anywhere else.

In general thier prices for new releases are a couple of quid below the competition down the road, and their free game swap system keeps me going through the winter!

Their only problem I guess is that on really busy release days they dont always have the staff to man the phones properly - so you just have to go in and see them. Right enough, when I went down for COD the other day.. the queue was snaking out of the door - so I guess its understandable that they couldnt answer the phone lol!

All in all - a great wee shop.

THE ONLY THING ABOUT THIS SHOP IS WHEN YOU TRY TO PHONE THEM THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE

I only use the shop to purchase games, and from my experiences, they have offered supreme service. They release all new content 2 - 3 days prior to all other high street shops. Small shop, but that does not affect the purchase of games, which is my primary use of this shop. Would recommend it to anyone who wants new releases.

Some staff at g force are nice but I find some can be quite unfriendly, but this is no worse than any other shop. I enjoy the selection of older games they offer, though it is evident that they are only too keen to rip off the customer where they can. For example, new, imported and out of stock items are sold at unfairly inflated prices rather than at 'reasonably' inflated prices; which makes sense from a business perspective but it can be off putting. However, if you do want these rare or imported titles, this shop is great and I would highly recommend it.
