Absolutely Disgusting Customer Service

My corner fridge is broken since December, 4 engineer visits, still no resolution, appointment cancelled because the parts are not there for the appointment (the fridge is 2 years old!)

The corner fridge company sublet repair to another company that sublet to an engineering company that are bouncing the ball to each other!

I will never buy another corner fridge product in my life again.

AVOID

Great Idea But Lousy Customer Service

I had my Corner Fridge installed back in 2003 and the first refrigeration unit lasted about 8 years albeit with a great deal of water leakage. I had a second refrigeration unit fitted and there was excess water leaking from day one - this one lasted three years before the vaporising coil, condenser and control unit all packed up. All I got from Corner Fridge were sloppy shoulders and lack of accountability - forget any customer service from this company. A Corner Fridge is a money pit and I regret my purchase.

Loud And Expensive To Maintain

It is a dreadful product, incredibly loud and expensive to maintain. My fridge has more rust on it than the Titanic. It has broken down so many times I've lost track. The company's customer service is abysmal and unhelpful; they are even rude when you reach out. This is the worst purchase I've ever made! Please, steer clear of this product! The positive reviews seem suspiciously self-authored.

Love My Corner Fridge But...

I'm on my second corner fridge. The first was nothing but trouble, but, assured by their change of manufacturer, I bought another when I moved.

This one has been great, no problems for 6 years now.

But the fridge light recently started staying on permanently. The magnetic switch has failed.

After a couple of futile calls and a chase the Corner Fridge engineer admitted that they could not supply replacement part as the design has changed. He suggested we go to B&Q and see if they have an external light that we could adapt!!!

Really?

I spent over £3k (plus the previous one) and you say bye-bye, go to B&Q!

What appalling customer service.

I will persevere with my corner fridge because it is brilliant in all other aspects, but will I buy another? Will I recommend it? I most certainly won't!

Next Best Thing To A Chocolate Fireguard

corner fridge bought in 2003/4 cant remember exactly all i can do is reiterate the faults already pointed out., extremely power hungry, very badly designed actual fridge unit as assessed by an independent refrigeration engineer. Luckily Ive learnt how to service it myself as every year it needs the unit removing and thoroughly cleaning as the inside of the compressor assembly foam insulation and fan units get covered in mould and over the last few years the foam has required replacing as it started to crumble and get blown into the actual fridge. Food safety wise due to the above it must be an FSA inspectors dream there must be so much bacteria being blown around its a wonder we,re still alive!

Theres more rust on the shelves than your average north sea trawler. a disgrace, they should have been stainless for the price

We also ordered the stainless steel option for the door and some w-anchor in their wisdom decided itd be a good idea to clad 15mm MDF in 1mm stainless then hang all the resulting 25kg on the fridge resulting in both hinges needing to be replaced after 2 years ,so for the last decade or so weve had the delightful white ali cladding adorning our kitchen (havent got round to sorting the stainless yet!!)

All in all the most expensive white (sorry rust coloured) elephant we had the misfortune to buy

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Shocking Reliability - Shocking Repair Costs - Zero Support

After seven years, the evaporator failed. One year later, the compressor failed. Repair costs so far over £1500. Even finding a local repair company who will touch this product is tough and it then takes ages to fix, leaving you with no fridge for an extensive period. Repeated emails to the company and attempted contact via their website solicited no response at all. Never again. A true white elephant. Such a shame as the concept is great.

Hi,

I take you're in Aberdeen, any chance you can let me know who you used to fix it as we have a corner fridge as well and are live just outside Aberdeen?

Regards,

Johan

This Is A Very Expensive Fridge Yet The Shelves Rusted

within a very short period. The next problem was the all the food froze and when I contacted the Company they did not want to know or help when they discovered that the 2 year warranty had expired! I would have been much better off with a fridge a quarter of the price!

Rust Bucket

Please do think about buying this product. Company are rude unhelpful. Fridge is loud very costly to run and expensive to repair. Shelves are all rusty and welding on joins has rusted through so shelves are not safe to take any weight and apparently its the way I clean it!!! Soapy water

what a load of ...... bad workmanship cheap products comes to mind.

Awful, Bad Terrible

What an absolute waste of money had mine 6 years and it's been nothing but trouble. The company are so so so rude and unhelpful which seems to be a common issue if you read the reviews on here. Mine has been rusting for some time now in fact the welds are so bad now some shelfs are not safe to put weight on. It constantly breaks down costs a fortune to repair. It makes such a racket it sounds like you are standing at silverstone and Lewis Hamilton is driving by in first gear doing 200mph. Thankfully mine is being taken out next week for a new fridge. I can wait to see it being thrown in the skip I will be sad that's it's £3000 down the toilet but happy it's finally gone infact I'll toast it's departure with a glass of wine. In summary if you like rust, rude customer service, and a fridge that breaks down more times than a vintage skodait's the fridge for you.

Amazing Fridge

Why didn't I buy a fridge like this years ago? Fantastic value for money, the fridge is good quality, spacious and has transformed the way I shop. Because it is so spacious I can chill drinks, Christmas was not the usual panic with where to put all the different cheeses and creams, not to mention the turkey, and it is easy on the eye as well.

An excellent product and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

Q&A

JohnEMiller

Hi my corner fridge was installed in 2007 and an on going intermittent fault is the unit freezes. The digital display shows temperatures of as low as -6degrees

We were sent a self adhesive plastic strip which we have, as instructed stuck to the top the door in order that the switch is activated when the door is closed. The switch operates the light but must have a dual function ??

We were advised to take the door off and and place washer/s at the point where the door pivots - to raise the door in order that the switch is activated - but alas the fault continues to occur???

Any suggestions ?
