I went for an interview to this optician practice recently, got there in plenty of time, was made to wait 10 minutes. The practice is average and quite small.

My interviewer ( the senior partner) didn't really conduct a good interview to my mind. No preparation of interview questions or even my CV to use fir reference, no questions about my previous employer.

Worst of all I ended up doing a 7 minute test of Maths and English, 'no calculators allowed ' she slyly informed me. i just about managed to complete it under the 7 minutes.

I had no opportuntity to ask her any questions about the job either.

My second interview involved spending 3 hours with a very young receptionist ( she must have been about 21) who gave me tasks mostly of filing to do. As for the rest of the staff nobody bothered to talk to me rather hostile I thought. Also I don't think my choice of smart trousers was popular as most of the team were skirts which were more suited for a night out than for work. Sadly I didn't get the job.
