Appauling Service From A Totally Uncaring Company
This is a terrible company second year of insurance with them and I moved in January they asked for driving licence V5 from and council tax for both drivers, emailed this then called to see if all was ok heard nothing till yesterday a letter giving refund upon calling to see why they said oh we cancelled your insurance a week ago, the first time in my life of driving for 44 years I was driving around with no insurance. No not use Direct Choice, Saga or Zenith insurance they will leave you high and dry and uninsured. also no explanation what so ever as to why.
They apparently sent a recorded delivery letter but when challenged could not say when it was delivered not who signed for it.
Use at your peril.
Take your money and delay the refund so you cant even organise new insurance.

Cancelled Without Warning
Have had this fully com cover with protected no claims for three years.
Never had a claim price seemed ok. All of a sudden they advised they could not renew my insurance.
No explanation, just not prepared to renew.
My circumstances haven't changed I am retired and only use my car for running around and taking the dog out. No more than 5000 miles a year running a small car only other driver my wife. Live in Jersey not exactly the car crime capital of Europe.
Then looked at customer reviews. Glad I never had to make a claim. Got new insurance with Churchill 50% saving.
Stay away from these Muppets.
This company have Been useless with my recent move and change of plate on my car and name change. I have two different policy numbers now but dame customer reference number! One lot of letters telling me I'm owed a tegund and another telling me I owe money for change od details. After phoning numerous times to try and sort this out I was left hanging on the phone and being passed from pillar to post to be told the computer wouldn't make its mind up what I owed! One figure was said , then another, and then I owed both but the computer would not let it go through!! I became so frustrated I said to send me a letter or email and I said I'd send a cheque for the amount if they would provide me an address to send it to! ... I even emailed them and said the same. No they couldn't do that! I received two letters again yesterday tell ing me they cancelled my insurance 6 days ago without attempting to call me or respond to my email on one of my policy numbers, But the joke was I received another letter telling me I was owed a refund on my other policy number!! .. what a complete and utter shambles of a company!! Stay clear. ..

Rubbish - Not Open On A Sunday To Take Payment Queries
Tried to take out car insurance with this company on a Sunday. The system threw up a problem twice with payment and asked me to call a number. When I called I was told it was Saga, however they could not answer my query as the Direct choice part of the business was closed on a Sunday and I would have to call back on a Monday.
What a complete joke. Unreliable online payment system with no back up after people have placed credit card details into the payment system.
This site and service is NOT SAFE.

Waste Of Money!
Took out a car insurance policy in the middle of January as was quoted £100 cheaper than old insurer. Wasn't aware the price quoted included a £25 admin fee, two weeks later my car had to go into garage as engine failure. Started looking for a new car. Rang for a quote on a car I had found on a Friday and was quoted an extra £70 on top of my original policy which included another £25 admin fee. Purchased the car the following Monday and rang to pay the extra as was told the premium had risen to an extra £109, not the £70 quoted 3 days earlier. Was told this was because prices change daily for various reasons! So for the exact same car the premium had risen almost £40 in 3 days!! I then rang my previous insurer who quoted me £80 less for the same policy including £50 less on the excess! Rang back Direct Line to cancel my policy, which I had only had for one month and was told I will get back pro rata what I haven't used, less the initial admin fee I wasn't aware of, less another £25 admin fee and less a £50 cancellation fee!! So one months insurance on a car ( that has spent two weeks off road in a garage) has cost me £114 even though my actual monthly cost of the insurance is only £14... total rip off. Be interesting to see how long it will take them to send me my refund for what little I have left after their extortionate fees! Will never use them again or recommend them. When will companies learn they would attract far more customers if they treated their existing customers with some loyalty instead of trying to entice new customers in with special deals them screwing them over the minute they have their custom!

Cancelled My Insurance Without My Knowledge
RECEIVED LETTER DATED 10TH APRIL ON 22ND APRIL INFORMING ME MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELLED ON THE 17TH APRIL. I RANG THEM, THEY SAID THEY HAD SENT EMAIL LIAR ! HOWEVER THE PROBLEM WAS THEY FOUND A CLAIM MY HUSBAND AS NAMED DRIVER NOT ME THE POLICY HOLDER, WAS PARKED AND WASN'T IN THE CAR WHEN AN ELDERLY MAN RAN INTO THE BACK, THERE WAS NO CLAIM ON MY HUSBANDS INSURANCE AND EVERYTHING WAS SORTED, THIS WAS NEARLY 3 YEARS AGO, SO BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS A CLAIM THEY CANCELLED MY INSURANCE. WHEN I RANG THEY HAD ALREADY TAKEN £70 FOR THEMSELVES SO CALLED ADMIN FEES. THE POLICY HAD ONLY BEEN STARTED FOR 2 WEEKS. THEN THEY WAS GOING TO RE INSURE ME FOR 3 TIMES THE ORIGINAL POLICY. A TOTAL JOKE. READING OTHER REVIEWS, SEEMS LIKE DIRECT CHOICE HAS FOUND ANOTHER WAY OF SCREWING MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU !!!! AVOID
There was no claim to declare !!!!
You sound like a dream. You don't know if the person who replied to your comment works for this firm. Nonetheless, they are right. Stop being petulant and own your failing to declare the claim.
WORK FOR THEM DO YOU ??? NEVER MIND WE CAN'T ALL WORK FOR REPUTABLE FIRMS. THIS RESPONSE AND FEEDBACK SAY IT ALL. I STAND BY WHAT I SAID BEFORE KEEP WELL CLEAR OF DIRECT CHOICE CAR INSURANCE
Your problem? "SO BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS A CLAIM THEY CANCELLED MY INSURANCE." Next time? Maybe think a little harder.

Liars - Avoid
Rang out Saturday to cancel my car insurance and was told that a refund could not be processed at that time because they didn't have the resources and that I should contact them oNo Monday and that the cancellation and refund would apply from the Saturday.
Rang on Monday and was informed that the refund would only apply from the Monday.
Will not use this company under any circumstances again and will not recommend them.
They were quick enough to take my money!

Found These Jokers On A Comparison Website, And Na
Found these jokers on a comparison website, and naively paid the full amount for my car insurance. They then decided that there was a problem with my no-claims notification from Admiral. I was allegedly sent both an email and letter warning me of this, both of which somehow failed to arrive. They didn't ring me because they are 'too big a company'. Because I failed to reply they cancelled the insurance and trousered 100 pounds for their troubles. Avoid these people.

Stay Away
Big mistake if you use this insurance company. Very rude customer services and extorting charges if you dare to cancel your policy due to selling your vehicle. STAY AWAY from this 2bit company
