No Premium Return After Cancellation

Cancelled motorhome policy after 6 months but no premium returned.

Apparently Highway only return premium if cancelled in first 4 months!

Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With

I claimed through my insurance after storm damage to my motorhome bathroom window. firstly they put it through as a claim at my fault so my premium went up the following year. The claim took months to process which resulted in damage to my van through being left out in the elements for nearly a year. They failed to follow up on the repairs or keep in touch. Their customer service had zero clue about anything and were completely unhelpful. As such i raised a complaint about the length of time it had take for repairs and the lack of contact from the company. My complaint was accepted however never processed and i received no reply. This led me to raise it with the ombusman.

I now have the van back. The bathroom window is clear perspex which is just madness. Also as a result in the van being lying in the elements there is water ingress and dampness in the bathroom. Further more I was about £1400 fixing the van from various faults mechanically just to get it back on the road. Highway insurance assured me that they would assess and pay for the cost of damages however have failed to respond to any of my 4 emails. Overall this claim has put me out of pocket of in excess of £4000 between repairs and hire vans. That is excluding any repairs to the habitation area of the van. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!

Got the same problem with my home claim with LV of which Highway is in control of. Two years now with one year with living room floor removed. Many cracks inside and out due to subsidence, they refuse to repair floor and subsidence and offered to pay only to fill cracks and paint.

Now with the Ombudsman.

Failed To Pay Claim

I had an at fault accident in my motorhome which I admitted to, but they failed to pay the claiments insurance company, even when sent a letter from the County Court. I had same letter, when I phoned Highway I was told they would sort it out, which they didn't, and I ended up with a County Court Judgement against me. I'm in my 70's and this caused me an enormous amount of stress. I have written emails of complaint, which they have failed to respond to. I have made at least 20 phone calls, but I have still not had any sort of communication from them. This has been going on for 11 months. They did eventually pay the complainants insurance company, but not in time to stop my CCJ.

They are the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Once I'd put in my claim it was impossible to get hold of them to check on progress of the claim, nobody seemed to know what they were doing.

try to change my vehicle with highway insurance as i my previous vehicle was insured with them but they couldn't insure as the vehicle was just in market 2022 reg. As they couldn,t insure the new vehicle i had to go through others. they charged me very unreasonable admin fee. I lost 4 months on the policy. wouldn't be using them again.

So bad, they should be shut down. No one to speak too to report an accident. The only people interested in speaking to you are the greedy solicitors to make a claim. 2gather insurance use Highway. I have jnot renewed through them. Good riddens to a load of stress and incompetence.

AVOID they won't pay out. You will not get through to complaints dept

AVOID. if you need to claim. Your stress level will go through the roof.

We reported our vehicle stolen they did everything to get out of the claim. The vehicle was fortunately recovered by the police top marks to Rotherham Police, un harmed . This company has had it registered as stolen still and we cannot sell it. CUE MIB (motor insurers bureau ) have contacted them. Left holding on phone calls to them for 30 minutes on 3 occasions. 1 star is too good for this. Don't know how they get a which credit, must have bought it.

Rude Customer Service Unprofessional Time Wasters

LIARS RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE UNPROFESSIONAL TIME WASTERS EXPENSIVE 0845 CALLING PHONE NUMBER

SOMEONE BUMPED INTO MY CAR ON THE SIDE STATIONERY IN A CAR PARK AND WAS NOT MY FAULT DUE TO THIER RUBBISH STAFF NOW THE CASE TURNED INTO 50-50.

YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE CLAIMS YOU NAME IT THEY ALL KEEP TRANSFERRING YOU FROM HERE TO THERE.

I HAD TO DEAL WITH THEM, LV AND THE POST OFFICE AT THE SAME TIME SUCH A WASTE OF TIME

BELIEVE ME THE £50 CHEAPER QOUTE WON'T WORTH ALL THIS HEADACHE AS THEY ARE NOT THERE WHEN YOU NEED HELP!

THEY DO THEIR VERY BEST NOT TO PAY YOU AND REFUSE YOUR CLAIM

Pathetic From Start Of The Claim To Finish

This has to be the worst company to get your car insurance from. Check with your broker and if you hear the name Highway agency just simply refuse even though you will need to pay more. They may be the cheapest but can now understand why they are because irrespective of how simple your claim is you will never get an opportunity to get your money. In my case waited for ages to even speak to anyone, when asked to speak to a manager got a curt response that he will tell you exactly what I have told you and when insisted you can be put on hold for ages with no manager ever to answer any calls

STAY AWAY NEVER EVER TAKE OR EVEN THINK OF TAKING ANY INSURANCE FROM THEM

After A Traumatic Accident, We Needed A Suitable H

After a traumatic accident, we needed a suitable hire car for work as being self-employed it was essential. It took over 2 weeks for them to sort it out and over £90 in phone calls. I have never been subject to such poor customer service. In the end we got a hire car through a solicitor. A particular female customer service was appalling, sarcastic and was reported to the supervisor. NEVER USE THEM THEY ARE USELESS. it reallyis worth paying a little extra to get a good quality, fast service.
