Adrian Flux Caravan Insurance

Not one to write reviews, I feel it necessary to comment on the speedy efficient service I received from Adrian Flux for 18 months. The complaints i have read seem more about not getting their money back because they presumably haven't read or been clear of their requirements. Documentation was sent quickly and communication by email satisfactory. Insurance company's / broker are not bodies I enjoy dealing with at anytime but Adrian Flux has certainly been one of the best I have dealt with.

I requested cludedequotes from comparison site on line which I received and picked out not quite the cheapest but I compared them and rang to take out insurance because it included legal assistance. I spoke to customer services and she came up with a even cheaper quote which I took out,the service I have received so far has been well satisfactory and hope that continues i can't fault it.

Purchased a new policy on line at 5.25pm on 24/11 and when the documents come through on email, I noticed the start date was fine but the start time was 5.25pm, I called them at 5.30pm to change the time only to midnight only to be told they wanted to charge £25 for the pleasure. I therefore asked if I could cancel the policy and for them to refund the first payment I made only to be told that would cost £60............£60 for 5 minutes insurance.

Overall Rating: I had to put one star or I couldnt leave my review but they dont even deserve that.

After having our campervan insured for only 2 month and having paid for it in full £175. I asked to can cel the policy as we had sold the van. I was told after deductions they would credit my account with £47.00 !!When asked why so little I was informed that was the cancllation charge and the amount of time the policy had been running pro rata. So two month insurance @£14.58 makes your cancellation charge £98.40! I was advised that, that was the maximum refund they could give and waffled on about its the insurers not them that give them the figuers, there was nothing I could do apart from accept the amount they offered. I would NEVER insure through them again and I will make sure freinds & family know what they are like. Only wished I'd come on here before I took out the insurance.

I have been driving for nearly 20 years and every year I change insurance company to get the best deal. This was my first time owning a campervan and insuring such. Adrian Flux was the cheapest on the market and offered a decent amount of cover however..... They sent a bombardment of emails the day after my policy started and on what can only be described as a flyer had the following wording "you will often be asked for the following information", OFTEN not REQUIRED.

Anyway, 36 days after the commencement of my policy they started asking for photocopies of licences, proof of NCD, mileage, photographs etc etc or they will cancel the policy. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!

The call to the call centre was erm.... eventful. First I was put on hold for 12 minutes whilst she found my details, then placed on hold to be told my premium will increase by £100, then told I can either cancel policy or pay but if I cancel I will only receive a small amount I paid. Finally to add insult to injury they sent me a SMS warning me to send them information or they will cancel my policy as of immediate effect.

SO...... after warning them that I was going to contact the Office of Fair Trading, my local MP and Watchdog I received a phone call 30 minutes later with an apology in the form of them agreeing to continue the policy but with a hike in their price at renewal. Guess what... I wont be with you next year!

Take this as fair warning, READ THEIR REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES BEFORE taking a policy. Absolutely aweful

If you require insurance for your Touring Caravan then look no furhter than Adrian Flux. I received a very competitive quote, acted upon the quote and was insured in a very short time of speaking with the excellent staff of Adrian Flux.

Nothing was to much trouble, everything was explained in a good knowledgeable manner. I asked for call back and received the call promptly on time which made a refreshing change to other companies used previously. Receipt of Insuarance Policy was offered either electronically of by hard copy in the post. I asked and received both versions without quibble.

First class service, from which I consider a first class company.
