Diasastrous Customer Service

Been with them some years without complaint but had an overseas claim which I felt was reasonable, they turned it down, I sent a letter explaining why I felt it was a reasonable claim and just got another pro forma refusal - doubt they even read my letter. Feel this service to a long standing policyholder is very rude and most objectionable. Have cancelled the policy.

The Worst Dental Insurance You Can Buy. Complete Hassle

All the reviews here are spot on!. This insurance is provided by AXA who put you through hoops in making a claim. Even a check up will require full details from the dentist about the treatment! Expect to have to take your Dentist's time in signing and providing reports supporting any claim. The surgery cannot sign on behalf of the Dentist, it has to be the Dentist themselves! You will find that most Dentists really appreciate this! Tesco

Have had the cover for the last 5 years, and the above is completely wrong - the only push-back I have ever had, was when the dentist buggered up and double charged a consultation fee.

The claims process is straightforward, and they pay-out usually within 2 weeks of sending the claim off.

Rip Off Insurance

When I started my insurance policy it was £16 per month. I have needed very little work to be done over the years but when I had two fillings my premium skyrocketed and is now £23. I thought having insurance was supposed to be there for when you needed to have work done?

Tesco Dental Insurance - Complete Hassle From Start To Finis

I joined Tesco Dental Insurance in 2008 and every single claim I have made has been queried by them because they claimed my dentist has not given me the appropriate paperwork (a detailed itemised account) when, indeed, they had done and they refused to pay out until they had spoken to my dentist over the telephone. They just left the claim for weeks without contacting me so I had to contact them on every occasion and go through the same thing over and over again (giving them permission to contact my dentist for details of the treatment I had already sent in). However they have now gone even further than that. I sent two claims in together three weeks ago and I contacted them to ask why I had not been paid out and what was their reason this time - THEY SAID MY CLAIM MUST HAVE BEEN LOST IN THE POST BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE IT and I would have to go back to my dentist and get all the forms signed over again. I am sure my dentist is going to be annoyed he has to do it all over again. I am now going to stop my payments to them and am going to find another insurer. If you do not want all this hassle every single time you make a claim DO NOT TAKE OUT DENTAL INSURANCE WITH TESCO

glad i read this. Was considering taking out a few insurance packs with tesco based on their prices but having read this, not going to bother with any tesco insurance products. cheap premiums are only good if they pay out when needed. thanks.

Tesco (axa) Dental Insurance Was Recommended To Me

Tesco (AXA) dental insurance was recommended to me by an existing customer and friend, I researched premiums with other providers and could have used my Medical Insurance supplier who are "Simply" excellent, but I decided to go with an alternative after the accolade I was was given. My mistake !! , its been a disaster, so despite trying to fit within their terms and conditions and my dentist accommodating their unreasonable claims for further information I find myself effectively without the cover I thought I had and despite calls and letters we have got nowhere. As a result I've cancelled the policy and asked for a refund. The service is not fit for purpose and if you use them I fear you will end up just like me with no useful policy and a nasty taste in your mouth as a result.

If you do look at Tesco, make sure you read the small print very carefully, as more often then not even though you try to play fair, they will find a loophole that no dentist can fill.

When Tesco First Started Doing Dental Insurance It

When Tesco first started doing dental insurance it was pretty good. However, when it came to renewal time the benefits were drastically reduced. I suspect they rely on people not bothering to change once they've signed up. Where their strategy fails is that AXA find the least little excuse to reject or delay a claim. In addition, their "help desk" staff are rude and totally incompetent. The net effect is that not only have I changed insurance - I've changed supermarkets as well. AXA have saved a few pounds and cost Tesco £500 a month of revenue. Well done Tesco/AXA - how do you stay in business?

you got it 100% correct, did you know axa's own dental insurance is a better purchase?

Total Waste Of Money. I Had To Squabble With Every

Total waste of money. I had to squabble with every claim. Even reported the Co. to the Financial Ombudman who could not help because the way AXA constuct their policies. Unfortunately AXA also administer Denplan and I wonder if they too have problems. We have cancelled our policy and decided to put the premium in a savings account instead. We even had the Premium Cover. Policy can only be decribe as RUBBISH!!!!

Completely Useless Is My Opinion Of Tesco Axa Ppp

Completely useless is my opinion of Tesco AXA PPP Dental Insurance, having had their cover since 2008. I would strongly advise anyone against taking out this cover for dental treatment. For dental hygienist sessions two or three times a year this might just be worthwhile but if one needs any more serious work on one's teeth forget it. My dentist referred me to a periodontologist for necessary treatment and I was led to believe this would be covered by the policy. However my claims for the treatment were rejected in full by the AXA PPP healthcare staff on the grounds that no specialist treatment would be covered, despite the fact this was necessary work and definitely not cosmetic dental restoration such as implants, etc. In several letters to them I said that this was not what I had been led to believe when I took out the policy but they were unyielding as regards my claims for which I did not receive one penny. I have now terminated the Tesco AXA PPP policy and my best advice to others is forget it. If I was able to give Tesco AXA PPP a zero star rating I would do just that.

A Simple Claim Involving A Routing Check Has Not B

a simple claim involving a routing check has not been paid now for 7 weeks. when I enquired on the status, I was told that it was in the post but due to adverse weather conditions, it has not arrived! on enquiring about reissuing the cheque, i was told that it will take 10 working days for them to do that and then to post it! a previous claim took only 4 months to get paid!!
