Annoying Case Handling
I have paid for iCarhireinsurance since five years. The first damage in November 2020: 220 euros due for a window smashed by a car thief (in Greece). AN ENDLESS BACK AND BACK! Driver's license, passport, pages of forms. Perhaps understandable in the case of major damage. If I knew beforehand that I would only get 220 euros for all the scans, filling outs, etc., it wouldn't be worth it to me. Not to mention the money I paid for that annoying insurance. Whether I will get the amount in the end is still open. Is it mistrust? No. I have sent all the documents that prove the damage. But the person I dealt with from the Travel Claims Department at Allianz Global Assistance still demands this and that. He wants to wear me down until I give up. That is disgusting. Be ashamed of yourself!
No Hassle Whatsoever
Have had to claim twice this year on this insurance. Once was my fault ( damaged wheel) the other SolMar car hire.
Both times the claim was handled efficiently and quickly. The wheel was reported on a Monday and agreed by Thursday. Excellent service with an easy claim process. I hire 5-6 times a year so rely on this type of policy to protect me and save a fortune on insurance.
Will I use them again, no question about it. Superb service.

No Good If They Don't Pay Out
There is no point in insuring your excess if the company then refuses a full pay pout based on the small print and also tries very hard to ignore your requests for payment, making you do all the work even if you provide proof of paying the hire company the excess.
It took me over four months and endless hassle to get a partial payout

Excellent Value, Great Customer Service
I made my first claim with iCarhireInsurance this summer after a shredded tyre and a bumper scratch in Portugal.
They paid up with no quibble, excellent communications and customer services.
If you damage your hire car, just make sure you keep your rental agreement, damage report and your credit card receipt.
Your claim can be sent online and you get paid by bank transfer.
I wouldn't hire a car again without using iCarhireInsurance.
