Dreadful Service

Realized this wasn't the cover I required an hour later after checking through small print. I immediately emailed back to let them know, they assured me policy would not be renewed. Over 2 weeks later, still waiting on refund. Dreadful customer service, very difficult to contact online and you'd get disconnected online. No one helps, they have your money and you're just fobbed off. Dear knows what it'd be like if you actually had to make a claim. Please do NOT use this company. I've wasted hours of my time, getting nowhere with them and will now need to see if I can contact my credit card company.

Paid Up For A Tricky Usa Claim

I took out this a policy that covers non-US drivers for liability cover (SLI), as much as the CDW or excess waiver. We were hit by an uninsured motorcyclist who was arrested for carrying drugs as well as riding without a license etc etc. A very messy situation and the car hire company took months to get in touch regarding the substantial damaged to the car. After putting the 2 companies in touch and submitting all my documents, waiting a couple more months, Insurance4carhire have paid up in full despite the fact I was not at fault. £110 now seems like a bargain as the bill was $1400.

Think Very Hard If You Want This

I bought an annual Insurance Excess product from this company.

I want to warn people off this company. They DID pay up on a claim but it was really hard work and it was for the very simplest of claims. I took months to get about 130 pounds. I would ignore other ratings sites because the high ratings I saw were about 90 per cent based on taking out the insurance and not on claims experience.

My conclusion is that their model is to appear helpful but to actually make claiming so hard that people give up. In the end, I decided that it was a matter of principle and that I would have gone to the Ombudsman.

Because I had rented a car through Avis in the UK (I am a UK resident) and Avis were incredibly helpful, I was able to obtain every single document demanded over weeks by this company. They wanted completely irrelevant documentation but, of course, this works to slow down claims or force abandonment. I would not have stood a chance of obtaining money if the claim had related to a complicated incident with a small company abroad.

Not Straightforward And Not Transparent

I chose this company based on their claims of transparency and excellent customer service. However, this has not proven to be the case. Whilst on holiday water damaged the keys to the rental car which had to be replaced. This should be a simple enough claim for reimburesment by Insurance4carhire - BUT no - they have rejected the claim because accidental damge to car keys in not covered although loss of car keys are!! Where is the logic or reasonableness in that logic??

Very misleading marketing aterial - I would not use them again - for anything!
