Natwest have switched me to this account which I never requested. Only recently to find out all this time they have been charging me for this account. Asked them what is all this about they told me is for the account and I have to continue to pay for it. Having then read some reviews I found out about moneysmartco. In just under 4 weeks moneysmartco got me back just over £2k and Natwest were very apologetic about the whole thing. I did not have to do any work. Moneysmartco done everything for me and I received the money directly from Natwest. I couldn't have asked for more from moneysmartco.

I Have Advantage Gold Account For Over 10 Years, N
I have advantage gold account for over 10 years, never claimed anything, now for a mobile claim, they are just delaying even after 3 weeks. Worst customer service.

Fantastic Travel Insurance Service
We have travel insurance on this account and last year my wife was taken ill 2 weeks before we left on an expensive months holiday. She was not allowed to travel by the date that we left. I had spoken to NatWest when she first became poorly and they were very helpful and supportive. When we definitely could not go I contacted them again and they sent out the forms to make a claim, we got them the next day, filled them out and attached the doctors letter and returned them within the week. 2 weeks later we received a cheque in full settlement. Other than the odd car insurance claim we have never made any other claim in over 40 years. Very impressed

I stupidly dropped my I phone 5 smashing the screen and knocked a cup of tea over it. Phoned NatWest this morning paid £50 excess new phone is arriving tomorrow morning. I am so amazed at this fantastic service.

Contacted them by phone about my iphone which had developed a fault 5 days out of Apple warranty. No problems quick and easy, new exchange iphone sent out next day! I believe Natwest changed provider to Aviva and Carphone warehouse earlier this year.

Preferential Rate Is Worse
Called up to get a preferential travel money rate and they use travelex as their company.
i checked the rate travelex offered - €350 euros was £305.81
this was gonna cost me £312.xx with my preferential rate.
only costs travelex 1.95 to deliver to home so the preferential rate is still higher than whats available.
this is a JOKE of a service.

after losing my i phone and reading the reviews on here i honestly thought I was going to trouble with my claim but e-mailed in paperwork from phone company on Monday phoned Wednesday to see how long it would take and they sorted out the claim over the phone and received new phone in the post next day Thursday cannot fault them at all

I lost my iPhone and was able to claim a new one through my advantage gold account!! Yes okay it's long winded but they have to make sure that the claim is eligible!! The scheme just aims to catch out people trying to get a phone for nothing which personally I agree with! If you have genuinely lost your phone and you have a spare old phone just to last you a couple of weeks, this insurance is well worth anyone's money!! Especially considering how much companies charge for this service!! You get what you pay for really. If you want an easy process and a new phone the next day, then get insurance with your network provider, if you can afford to wait a couple of weeks, this will be fine for you!!
Extended Warranty
I needed to make a claim under the 12 month extended warranty that is offered for electrical items purchased with advantage gold debit or credit card. You do have to register the appliance under the T's & C's, which I had done. It wasn't a big claim, the handle off my fridge broke. However, I called the claims number and after a few minutes on the phone the claim was all dealt with. I was asked if I wanted an engineer to come out to fit the part for me or whether I wanted the part posted so that i could fit it myself. I opted for the second option and the new handle was with me within days.
