Very Hard To Use And Poor Customer Service
My wife opened an account with Sainsburys. There are a number of issues:
- Impossible to speak to a human "we're extremely busy" - so are we!!
- The maximum withdrawal is £20k in one go so if you want to withdraw more than £80k (lucky you), then you'll trigger the 4 or more maximum withdrawls
- Sainsbury don't let you know when they update the savings plans and offer a higher rate!! Very poor
- As at Jan22, other banks are offering FOUR TIMES the interest rate
- Just transferred everything out of the account and now can't even close it with a Nil balance - That can't be efficient for the bank

Worst Banking Website Ever!
I have been using this terrible website for a year now and would endorse EVERY negative comment anyone has ever made about it. It is slow, clumsy, cumbersome and incredibly frustrating! Every time you log on you have to enter your full details - it seems incapable of remembering your address or providing anything where you can save them. If you try to use their complaints procedure it can take ages to find the email form, and then when you finally fill in your details and complaint ( perfectly I might add) it suddenly knocks you back and demands a "title" ( even though you clicked it first time..) and then says it can't be sent! So - no complaints! Ugggh! I paid the whole of my balance IN FULL last month so owed them nothing, and then the site is showing a demand for £68 next month! What's more, you can't get out! Nowhere on the site is there anything that lets you CANCEL ONLINE BANKING!
I love Sainsbury's, shop there all the time, and love our local store and all the food, have been a loyal customer for 20 years, BUT THEIR ONLINE BANKING IS APPALLING AND LETS THE WHOLE COMPANY DOWN. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

Hopelessly Slow Website
I have spent the better part of a saturday afternoon trying to log on to this website. It is so painfully slow and is not getting anywhere. The entire security process is extremely painful and even though I have entered the correct details it throws me out. After couple of calls and attempts, I managed to get in and it doesnt get any better. This website is so slow and primitive, it should be shut down. It is without a doubt my worst online experience in the last several years.
I entirely agree with this review. I am certain I entered all the correct login information only to be denied access and forced to ring them again to get an activation code. without doubt the worst experience of my online life.

Find the site crowded and confusing; all I wanted to do was to arrange to view my savings account online.
I think I will stick with the very helpful Scots ladies who provide the telephone service - although it was one of these angels who pointed me in the direction of the website!
Sainsburys Useless Bank
Avoid this useless waste of space bank. The security system is so complex it would be easier to launder money with HSBC. and you will spend all dau waiting to actually talk to someone.

Non Easy Account.
I have had nothing but trouble with my online savings account.
Access most of the time is impossible, even though I know the information I give is correct.
Having to phone the call centre is a nightmare and then being asked to send in yet another lot of security information.
I have threatened to close the account several times but this time I really mean it.
I Have a Sinsbury's Credit Card but for some reason it it not accepting my PIN number.

They Say That Several Banks Are Not Good For Quick
They say that several banks are not good for quick loans because it tooks even a month of business works just to lend a money and that can be a weekness . In the other side security is what they build up rather than online companies where people can experience scamming because of necessities . In the first place you really need to know first the background of where you would apply for.

Greedy interest rate. Always goes up even when base rates are low. Will never use them again and I would advise you not to. My card payments balance was just over £6000 everytime I paid £150 it never went below the 6K. The interest at over 21% just killed my payments eventhough I hadn't spent any money.

I Have Also Just Had Big Problems Logging In To Sa
I have also just had big problems logging in to sainsburys bank despite doing this for a year without problems.
The system locked me out even when I know that the login details were correct. I then couldn't reset my account with the additional data so I called the help desk. They asked me some security questions, one I got wrong so I now have to send all my ID stuff in the post to prove who I am. WHAT A PAIN and how over the top. I would avoid and go to smile bank where the system is much more simple.

A Really Really Bad Buggy Website. Latest Problem
A really really bad buggy website. Latest problem was explained away by telephone support as being due to the need to physically type http://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk into url window rather than clicking e.g. on an Outlook contacts link to http://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk !!! I also have had ridiculous problems with payment mandates. Avoid!
