Back in March i bought a 2008 SLK280 for my wife

I called Alexander David and asked questions about the car and said i might come over and view it later, the salesman asked my name. It was a 120 mile round trip!

On arrival the layout and professionalism filled me with confidence. Loads of good quality cars. We started looking around the car and the salesman came out and said 'hello are you ...'. Introduced himself, gave us the keys so we could look around it, start it up. Left us to it and said grab me when you want to go for a test drive or want any more info.

A small thing but i'm surprised how many other car dealers don't even come out to engage with you when you look around a car.

The car was perfect and we bought it on the spot. Had no trouble at all with the car 3 months on.

I cant recommend them enough

I was buying a 7series bmw . The car was in perfect condition but after 2 weeks I had to replace agr valve and I contacted Alexander david and they paid for the replacement.they have a fantastic after sale services. I highly recommend this dealer.

I recently bought a BMW 3 series convertible from Alexander David having been looking for the right car for a couple of months.

Having visited numerous dealerships I found their approach to be very refreshing. No pressure sale tactics or cloak and dagger negotiation techniques!!

The who process was very straight forward and I have ended up with the best car I went to see at a sensible price.

I have had the car for just over two months now and had one problem (an electric window issue) which was dealt with immediately with the AA Warranty that they included in the price.

Overall I cannot fault my car buying experience from start to finish - 5 Star customer satisfaction.

Put a deposit down and went back with my mechanic for a final check over before completing payment and we noticed a hot burning oil like smell. Opened the bonnet and head gasket was gone. They put fresh oil and gave the engine a thorough clean too cover it up. Narrow escape.. Experience speaks for itself about buying a car from here!

I purchased a vehicle earlier this year from this garage. Within 6 months , I have paid over £2,000 in repairs. I had a 3 month AA warranty with the car, however everything that was wrong with the car was not covered- it was the most BASIC warranty I have ever come across.

Alexander David are not willing to pay for any of the repairs that I have had to have done and have been completely patronising with myself being a lady.

I am completely unhappy with the service and car, and I would not wish what I have experienced on anyone. I am currently in contact with lawyers to take this matter further.

AVOID at all costs!

Bought a BMW Z4 From Alexander David a couple of months ago, travelled a fair distance from other side of Essex as the 35i is not that common. great car, high specification, and very low ,mileage for a reasonable price. The staff are friendly, professional and no high pressure sales. During the first week found the FM reception was rubbish went to a specialist who diagnosed that the whole module needed replacing. Contacted Alexander James as was not sure if this was covered, no problem, they arranged for the whole unit to be replaced and it was not cheap!!!!!! All I can say is excellent staff that provide excellent after sales service and would certainly consider going back for my next purchase. they also provide a half decent courtesy car while my car was with them.

As somebody who finds the process of buying a car both stressful and a chore, I felt compelled to write a review explaining the excellent experience I had dealing with Alexander David Motor Company.

The salesmen were incredibly polite and friendly and most importantly they didn't pressure me into making a decision, something that I have experienced at many garages over the years.

One thing I found was that their cars represented excellent value for money and certainly in the case of the one I purchased, that they were prepared to a very high standard.

I wouldn't hesitate in returning for another car and have since recommended them to any of my friends who are currently looking!

They sell cars with welded alloys

not safe and not road worthy

more cars on the forecourt with welds - they put lives in danger

no customer service at all - even though we dealt with high up people.

Car came back with scratches - nothing was done as promised and i would stick with a main dealer or another dealer if you dotn want problems!!!

Hi I thought I would just try and tell everyone not to buy a car from here, I have had nothing but trouble with the company,basically i purchased a car and things constantly went Wrong with it, they have been very unhelpful,lots of days waiting for calls and acting like they don't really care,so stay away as I wish I would have been told this first! I would not recommend them at all thanks
